This looks quite nice for the price.
“This is a barn find, or a old hot rod….. Whatever, This Jeepster has a 256 Chevy V8 (1956), and a 4 speed manual transmission, a new top and bucket seats. Anyway the history this car was build in the early 60’s and has not been changed since. The brakes are new and it runs drive and stop. It can go to any car show or cruise. “You are bidding on a 1946 Jeep Willys. The odometer says 77036 miles, but not conformed since I am not the original owner. I can tell you that everything as well as all gauges work and Jeep runs great, it also has new tires as well as a new top. Wining bidder will have to arrange for pickup or shipping THEMSELVES. ”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $1300
(04/25/2011) It runs.
“This has the original Hurricane 226 engine, manual transmission and transfer case. Last year I put in did a complete rebuild of the carb, replaced plugs, wires, cap and rotor. It fired right up. Bleed the brakes and it was driving. That was a year ago. I have been keeping this as a long term project but its time to go. I’m not going to haggle the price. Its a grand or I’ll keep it.”
UPDATE: Randy bought this. He said it came with a rare louvered hood. He has everything to put it back together, though the project will take a while to complete as he has another big project ahead of it. You can see his other jeeps here. Congrats Randy!
It appears to include a winch. There is value here.

“Rolling chassis as is, no paper work, lots of rust but plenty of parts left if you are restoring an old jeep.
This chassis needs to be paid and picked up in the next 2 weeks or it is going to recycle.”
I have no idea what the value for these are.

It’s not 100% authentic, but it wouldn’t take much to be 100%. The front frame rails look unmolested and unbent. Strangely, there are no pics that show the sides.
“1947 Willys jeep CJ2A, completely original tub (body). built in MAR of 1946. originally a texas truck, moved to Missouri, until a close police officer friend of ours brought the truck up to canada. the truck is 100% authentic Willys Jeep (original body, motor and frame). Runs and drives well. driven daily, currently licensed and plated”
This looks like a solid and stock CJ-5.

Warn Overdrive
Sylvania Halogen Lights
LED Tails and Turn Signals
Winch
Jerry Can Holder
Rear Gate
Power Steering
New Interior
New Bestop
Fresh Fluids
CB Antenna and Power Source
Bikini Top (Seen Better Days)
Long Travel Leaf Springs
Mag Wheels
33″ Tires
Side Steps
Roll Bar
Good Paint
Floor and Cargo Mats
Clean Title
Good Registration
Bad:
Crack in rear right muffler makes a sound when letting off gas. It’s smog exempt. Fix at your own convenience.
Spare not full size.
Windshield wiper motors work, but do not move the arms. I suspect stripped gears. New wipers/motors/arms are $50 each.
Right mirror has some water inside of it and will need to be replaced. The round style mirrors are cheap for a set and will slide right into the holders.
There are a few small screw holes under the new top where the old style Bestop was installed. On the new one they moved the snaps. The benefit is that the new top will fold down like a convertible.”
This is interesting. This used to be an extended CJ-2A, but has been cut back down to a stock size. The rollcage is only $50, which is a great price.
“Flat fender jeep body. Has the general rust under the passenger seat and drivers side. It was a rare long bed that in the 50’s I road in. But between then and when I bought it someone cut it down to a regular CJ2A size. the cut is just stitiched and needs finishing. Overall its not a basket case but will be a good project. I also have a roll bar that is custom for a 2A for $50 that is sitting on it and a windshield that needs the inner piece and a new panel across the front for $50. There are side diamond plate for the foot rest and along the side for $50 and some other 2A and 3A parts. I also have a complete project jeep for $1300. Body needs some work but for its age is better than most. You buy the project I will throw in the body listed above for any part it may need. I have L head motors that will need rebuilding for $300.”
UPDATE: Price dropped to $5995
(03/02/2011) This looks like a solid rebuild.
“Cherry 1947 willys CJ 2A; frame off restoration, bedliner underneath tub, 5000 miles on restoration/rebuild, new tires, wheels, full size spare and LED tail lights. Original running gear, L-head 4 cylinder flathead, wrapped in diamond plate, 12 volt system, aftermarket buckets and jump seats and full roll bar…this jeep is ready to go or rod it out and make it a rock crawler with an overdrive/underdrive. New starter, two new tops (full and binini–not currently on jeep). You will not find a nicer willys for the money! No rust, starts every time and gets lots of looks. Tow bar included. No tire kickers please. Rick in Bellingham 360-201-0682 ”
I ran across a post about Popeye over at WillysJeep.com. Check it out.
This appears in pretty good shape.
“1946 CJ-2A Willys Jeep all original runs great rebuilt motor vary good working condition. Also have the doors and other new spare parts such as carburetor, fuel pump, and some used parts also. Odometer says 38,183 miles.”
