I’ve had the Willys MA Website as a “Link Worthy” Link for much of the year. I thought I had done a post on it (I’m still sure I have), but after searching for it to add it to the “Early Jeep” Section, I couldn’t find a post about it. Gavin has got a variety of MA & GPA Images and more.
Cool Jeep Photo
I happened upon this photo while doing a google search for old rims. Here’s the link to the source.

Crofton Bug
Crosley was the maker of some of the prototype lightweight Jeeps the Army and Willys considered building. Apparently, Crosley continued down this path of lightweight utility vehicles. One of the results of this efforts was designed by the Crosley company and called a Farm-O-Road. The Crofton Bug, based on the Farm-O-Road design was actually produced by the Crofton Marine Engine Company. Only about 250 Crofton Bugs were built between 1959 and 1962 (or 1963). Like the jeep, these had some farm tools you could attach to these ‘mini jeeps’. You can learn more about this 1100lb vehicle at Tom’s Crofton Bug website.
Thanks to Gerald for finding these two pics.
Here’s Tom’s Crofton Bug and a few of his pics. Drop by his website to learn more about the Crofton Bug and see more images and brochures.

Builds: Gerald’s Brother’s rebuild and more
Gerald send these pics:
1st up, his brother’s build — This is a mixed 1948 CJ-2A. The front loop is actually out of the red willys you’ll see in the next picture. They had it stored in the garage for about 15 years. Reuse and recycle. Perfect!
Here’s Gerald’s Mom racing around the track around 1979.
These M715 pics are from Sam Winer Motors in Akron around 1992, all crushed now. I loved that place back then.:
Here’s Gerald’s brother’s cool 1940 Bantam coupe with the 22 hp Hill Master engine in it.

The seller notes this has a “head turning paint job”. I could suggest that it’s not my head that’s turning, but I try not to be so blunt. If the seller reads this, I’d strongly suggest painting it green. The value will increase.
