This boxy forward control must have been built in Europe? I found a picture of an orange one below the ebay photo.

Rich spotted this one.
“Duel smoke stack
forward fc 170 controls
Electric dump
Small block Chevy v 8 engine”
There were several articles that made the June 1955 issue of Willys News worth purchasing, even if the price was higher than I wanted. Case in point is the gravity dump box idea below. Perhaps someone can recreate this rare mod?
Richie is selling this beautiful FC. It includes a dump bed. You can reach him at richiec432 @ gmail.com
“I am selling my 59 FC150. It is fully restored with less than 200 miles on it. It is a dump body. I spent almost. 3 years building it.”
Is that wood under the dump bed? I can’t quite tell.

Here’s an unusual setup.
“Owned by a local irrigation district and used to haul concrete to canal since the 60’s. Back has been cut out to allow dump to operate and passenger seat is gone so dump parts could be placed there, Engine does not appear to be original but runs and was maintained but needs a good tune up. Spent 200 on rebuilding dump so I could haul concrete threw narrow openings and haul rocks. Have not used it since I rebuilt it but did try it a few times. Dents from years of abuse. Original stars. No data plates or title. Irrigation district lost title and some dumb deputy told them to sell it to get a salvage only paperwork. Tried to explain to them what they did but they were not getting it. Said this is fine since it was told to them by a deputy. I do have a bill of sale. And if you can get them to understand great. Does have numbers on frame. I wanted to trade it for a Minelab metal detector or a White Detector and probe and hoops worth about 1500. ie: a V3i white or Minelab Safari. Might have tail light covers and a few smalls that go with the M38A1. (Triangle on back not included)”
The seller indicates a variety of items are new or rebuilt.
“62 Jeep FC170, engine, radiator, generator, starter, brakes, wiring, frame, susp, fuel tank, trans, front end, rear end & transfer case either new or rebuilt, $8,900, Bill 802-429-2076, Wells River, VT”

“Early 60s jeep flat nose cab over FC 170 dump bed. Engine does run, selling as project.”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $4200
“This FC-150 has the engine and transmission out, and is ready for the re-power of your choice. Or, if desired you could easily find an original engine. The engine mounts have not been cut out. It comes with the original T-90 3 spd and T-case. It has an electric hydraulic dump bed.
This is the nicest FC-150 Body I’ve seen in the past 20 years, with all the cab corners in good shape. There is a small amount of rust through in the driver’s floor. And rust repair is needed along the front of the cab above the bumper, as you can see in the photo. The engine cover has been modified, and is ready for you to finish. A SBC was planned, but not finished, two owners ago.”
UPDATE: This looks like it may have been a service truck.

“Selling a Jeep Willys FC-170 w/ a dump bed and w/ wide snow plow.
This jeep has a heavy duty dump bed and a heavy snow duty snow plow. The motor ran when we parked it a few years ago. We drove it to were it sits now. The engine did need a tuneup and potentially more. The dump bed was working off the motor driven hydraulics when we parked it as well as can be seen in the pictures.
Email us if you are interested or have questions about it.
There is also 2 other FC-170’s with different configurations (one is a flat bed, $500, and one is a utility bed, $800) that are for sale. $2,000.00 for all 3.”
