This body was widened 6″ … was it done because they could?  Also, the rear appears to have been cut and a custom extension added (I don’t think that’s the bolt on extender I’ve seen other some other jeeps).

“The body was widened about 6 inches by Southwestern College years ago. It really is a nice configuration. I have the original military air cleaner setup. It has been converted to 12-volt alternator electrical. The rest of the drive train is stock with the flathead four and works great. The tow bar works great and uses a 1 7/8″ ball. I am selling because I need the covered parking space and my son, who loved and cared for it, will be out of the country for years. Driven regularly. Clean title. 4-wheel drive works fine. Lots of fun! $3500 firm.”

“1951 CJ3A WILLYS JEEP, BODY IN GOOD CONDITION, RED, 4 CYL. 3 SPEED, 4WD, THIS WOULD BE GREAT FOR RESTORING SINCE BODY IS IN GOOD CONDITION, OR TO BUILD UP FOR A TRAIL JEEP. I DON’T HAVE TIME TO PLAY WITH THIS JEEP, IT NEEDS A NEW HOME. IT RUNS TWICE A YEAR: WHEN I GET IT OUT OF STORAGE AND WHEN I PUT IT BACK IN. IT HAS SPENT THE LAST 30 YEARS OF ITS LIFE AT 9,400 FEET ABOVE SEA LEVEL. HAS A TOW BAR, A USEFUL LITTLE PICKUP BED BOLTED ON THE BACK USING THE ORIGINAL WILLYS TAILGATE. IT HAS A NEW GAS TANK, COIL, DISTRIBUTOR CAP AND ROTOR. IT NEEDS NEW TIRES AND A BATTERY. This comes with a rare bed extender.  It is a project.

“1963 Willy’s Jeep CJ5 that we started restoring, Has new 4 Cyl. (F) Head Engine that has “Never Been Started”, New Painless Wiring Harness, Twin Stick Shift Levers for the transfer case,  Asking $1750 OBO.

We started to restore the jeep and then my dad had to move back east for work so the jeep was put on hold almost everything you need to get this jeep up and running comes with it,

also has lots extra items to go with the jeep Like an Extra Radiator Clip with Sunk in Head Lights off Early Model CJ5, windshield Frame off Late Model CJ5, Extra Dash Panel, extra Beefier Drive Shafts, and a Bed extension w/Dual Jerry Can Holder, Extra Willy’s Tailgate, also has Military Rear Bumper with Lift Hoops, new Seats and a aluminum Hard Top with Doors.”

UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $6500.

There’s no reason not to think this CJ-5 has only 29,000 miles.  It’s got a vintage top, looks solid, and even comes with an extension bed in the rear.
