“Throwing around the idea of selling my 2A and building another one. Not dying to sell, leave low ball offers at home. Ill just keep it if I don’t get what I need out of her. Tons of fun. Scratches all over paint (its a jeep). Currently needs throttle cable but I will replace that as soon as I get time. Has soft top, heater, brand new tires, pinto motor, tow bar, new charging system, fuel tank, rear end has less than 150 miles on it. Resto done about 5 years ago. Clear title. Might consider muscle car or rock crawler trades.”

“Here it is! An original, unrestored 1952 Willys M38 Jeep that has been in a heated garage basement since the late 1950’s. My late uncle purchased this Jeep and stored it correctly in a heated basement garage, only 5′ from the furnace that heated the house. Clean title. Engine turns very nice. All fuel lines were blown out and the engine was fogged. I am confident this M38 will run with very little work. Original Mag/Blue Crown plugs…ORIGINAL! Not an easy to find item. Unrestored and complete! Includes, two military generators, spare tires and wheels, ammo/tool/parts boxes, fuel cans, rebuild parts/gaskets etc for the engine and a NOS battery that is still in it’s original box. Lots of patina Original Handbook. Serial # 52870. Model M38. Manufacture date 2/1952. Once in a lifetime opportunity…. $15,000 firm..”

“1951 Navy M38 Jeep. Serial # 36689. Mileage reads 35,201. Powered by the original 4 cylinder gas engine, original 24 volt electrical system. 3 speed manual transmission, 2 speed transfer case with over drive. Comes with radio and all items in photos. The Jeep starts easily, runs and drives good. Tires are dated 1967. Some surface rust but appears to be a very solid body. We have not powered up the radio but were told it works. “This is a beautifully resto-modded 1963 Willys Wagon 4×4! I purchased it from a private seller in Eastern NC outside of Asheville. He owned it for approx 10 years and the restoration was completed approx 9 years ago.

The build was very thorough from start to finish. The body was removed and all rusted panels were cut out and replaced with new steel (see photo album of resto). A New Chevy 350 V8 engine was installed along with a Chevy Automatic Transmission that is mated to the original Dana 18 Transfer Case (recently rebuilt). The axles are from a Jeep Grand Wagoneer and were completely rebuilt with new bearings and seals. The axle upgrade gives this Willys Power Disc Brakes up front and a much better gear ratio for cruising than the original setup. It also has Power Steering and a Vintage Air A/C system with R134 refrigerant.
