Matt spotted this nice looking Ford GP.
“This 1941 Ford GP (#9223) is an early model Series 1, one of 1500 from the earliest series. Restored over 30 years ago by an active member of the MVCC (Military Vehicle Collectors of California), it was sold to the most recent Montana owner over 20 years ago. It is powered by the original spec 120 cubic inch 4-cylinder engine with a 3-speed manual transmission and includes a matching military trailer. This GP checks all the boxes with correct top, trailer with canvas, all of the blinkers , reflectors, extinguisher, flashlight, engine crank handle, and correct lighting.
The correct instructional tags are mounted on the dash, and the combo gauge is center mounted. There are 2341 showing on the odometer, but the true mileage is unknown.
The genuine GP engine # 9547 and drivetrain were rebuilt at the time of restoration. The seller says that it runs and drives great, and smokes a little when cold but clears up once warm. An oil service was completed five miles ago and coolant was also flushed. Brakes and steering operate as designed, and the engine does drip some oil after driving.

“Very clean, and near original 1948 Willy CJ2 , engine was rebuilt some years back and it runs sweet & quiet, very low miles/hours. only used during deer season for the majority of its life. Parked indoors and covered. Runs great – all original engine, trans is tight, original 6 volt system with new battery, no major dents or impacts, paint is nice, suspension is good and OEM, has military tires and I have 2 spares. This is a very rare find, it is NOT modified or torn up. These are tough to find in stock condition these days, could be used as is, or an excellent restoration vehicle for full on resto. (more fun to use though). NO TRADES”

(10/16/2018) Rob’s selling his nice looking 3A named “Scout” with a set of beautiful Free-Lock hubs.
“his CJ-3A, affectionately known as “Scout,” was born in 1950. Having spent the majority of its life on a mountain property in Mariposa, CA; this Willys Jeep has always been 100% free from any rot, cancer, or structural rust.
After a lengthy search for the right era-stock 3A, in 2012 I purchased Scout from its second California owner. Shortly thereafter, I found another unit that had a freshly rebuilt drivetrain (less than 20 hours), so I purchased it too and combined our solid rust-free Scout with the fresh heart and axles of the donor.
As I have a hard time leaving well enough alone, your new Willys will come with $10,723.51 in parts receipts, including the new “Herm the Overdrive Guy” 30% overdrive! Yes, everything works as designed. Every gauge, headlight, taillight, and parking light; even the factory high beam indicator and map light glow proudly on the dash. The transmission and transfer case shift with a positive engagement rarely found in Jeeps of this era. The engine starts right up, hot or cold, and purrs like a kitten at 180 degrees; always. The custom receiver hitch is ready to haul your boat to the pond. And if worse comes to worse, the Bellview/Warn winch powered by a custom 6/12v battery system stands at the ready.

https://portland.craigslist.org/mlt/cto/d/1947-willys-cj-2a-jeep-body/6729358367.html
“This jeep was my project in high school about 5 years ago. It’s been kept in the garage since then. Starts and runs like a champ, the engine (original 4 cylinder L-head) was rebuilt just before I got it, so very low hours. We had the transmission rebuilt, shifts like the day it was built. Body and paint (’46 Harvest Tan scheme even though this is a ’47 by serial number) is in excellent condition, interior protected with color matched bed liner. Hat channels are like new, no rust.

(09/04/2018) The front seats appear to tilt.
https://denver.craigslist.org/cto/d/1948-jeep-cj2a-willys/6730027192.html
“This Jeep is in excellent condition. It runs and drives how a new Jeep in 1948 would. It has had a frame off restoration before 2014. The drive line was rebuilt, from carb to clutch, in September of 2015 totaling nearly $7000. Documents can be provided for the driveline work. All the gauges work, and are as accurate as they would have been in ’48.
This is a true CJ2A, not a military conversion. It is a very clean example and gets lots of attention. It is the most fun you can have at 50MPH. If you would like to drive and own a REAL Jeep, this is it. No AC, no airbags, just die like a man ruggedness. You can enjoy this Jeep for a long time to come. It does have 2 lap belts for the front, they work great holding you in while bumping along the road.
The underside is just as clean as the top, showing very little evidence of little more than dirt road use. It needs the opportunity to be enjoyed off-road a bit or to take you wife to coffee on Saturday morning.
The price is OBO and all serious offers will be entertained. I am willing to ship at the buyers expense. Feel free to call or text. Jeep is located in OKC.”
UPDATE: Apparently this new ad is a scam. The FC now lives in Missouri.

Here is a video of the jeep running and driving 7/29/2018:
“For sale is my 1946 Willys Jeep CJ2A. Runs great, stops as well as a 1946 jeep ever could. New front brake shoes/wheel cylinders, master cylinder and hardware last year. New front and rear pinion seal this year. Reproduction windshield frame, glass does have two small cracks, please see the pictures. This is a 12 V conversion. Headlights and tail light work, but brake light does not – I suspect it is the switch. No turn signals. Horn doesn’t work, but there is a functional siren. New Coker Firestone tires last year and the wheels were professionally sandblasted and powder coated at that time.
