Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. “Classic Willys Jeepster. This Jeep is produced by Willys Overland Motors. It has the original flathead 4 cylinder with overdrive and has the three-on-the-tree. It starts and runs great! The body/paint are in excellent condition. About the only thing in need of repair are the seats and the convertible top. Only about 10,000 of these cars were ever built and it is a great find.”

(08/24/2017) Looks like a solid vehicle, but the engine smokes some and the top may need a repair.

Solid car, 4 cylinder, overdrive.
Nice car for restoration or updating.
All four side curtains are with the car.
The top is old and one of the seams has separated.
The engine runs fine but smokes.
These are difficult to find that have not been cut up and modified.
All of the hard to find trim and unique to Jeepster parts etc. are still on the car.

“Runs well, shifts fine and is fun to drive. The 4 wheel drive engages ( have not used ). Paint is likely more than 20 or years old. Old bondo in rear corners, some rust in floor braces, front floor has repairs, some bubbling under old paint (Orig color was green), small dents, but for a 62 year old unrestored Willys Jeep it isn’t bad. This is a Willys that has been used it’s entire life (not a garage queen). Has a North Carolina (VIN Number) bonded title. So it is ready to drive or restore.
Body fair. Runs fine. Fun to drive. Brakes, Lights, Turning Lights, Horn, Emergency Brake all work. Always attacks attention. Priced Right. Speedometer not working right. 63434 probably not correct.”

“This is a great running 1946 Jeep Willys. Body is in great shape with very minimal rustish spots. Comes with the soft top in the pictures. Converted to 12v, new starter, new break master cylinder and I am currently changing out the fuel tank to finish with the must does to sell it at this price. Please keep in mind that this is a 46 so it is going to take some tinkering with from time to time. Looking for someone that is wanting a fun collectors item. “This is a jeep survivor vehicle. All parts except for the gas tank are original. It has been titled under the same name since it was bought new in 1951. This is not a restoration. This is an original vehicle that has been maintained in working condition throughout its life. It is in excellent mechanical condition and includes such details as an original inverter for AC power. The vehicle was bought off the production line in Toledo Ohio. It’s been it’s early life in an apple orchard. It has never been driven on the road. Nice enough that you could run it in a parade or take it to a show, but not so nice that you’d be afraid of using it!
