The body on the Jeep is totally solid and rust free. I have inspected the body and can not find any obvious rust or repair patches whatsoever. The Jeep has lived its life in dry Arizona and Colorado and has always been well cared for. The paint on the Jeep is a Jade Green Metallic, a more classy upgrade from olive drab and looks simply awesome. The Jeep is straight as an arrow and the paint job is very nice. The Jeep has been completely inspected underneath from front to back and is solid as a rock as an western car should be. The bottom of the tub, as well as wheel wells are painted green just like the top. The rubber seals under the hood and windshield are new. Every nut, and bolt was removed before paint, cleaned painted correctly then re-installed. The meticulous level of the restoration is obvious when walking around this CJ. The underside was also nicely redone and all suspension, axles, and floors were nicely sprayed with semi-gloss black.

It also appears to have a special plaque, which I assume is related to it’s former life as a fire department jeep.

“My 1955 Willys Jeep 4X4… Former Chicago Fire Dept Vehicle, always stored inside, original condition, motor rebuilt, new carb., and lots of other new parts… New tires, top a few years old, interior very nice, I have a new battery as the old one is weak… I am selling my little blue baby because I was in a Traffic Accident & broke my Back, my Pelvis, suffered Severe Head Trauma & Whiplash caused by hitting a car that made a left hand turn in front of us, we were traveling at 40 MPH, I was a passenger & my Airbag DID-NOT Deploy… The Jeep has been stored in my garage for 2 years & I can no longer drive it due to the accident… I DO-NOT have to give it away, I don’t need the money & have a 21 year old Son that would love to have it… Come take a look, it is being sold as-is, as-shown, ask questions, NO_RESERVE – the HIGH BIDDER wins!!! “Up for auction my 1956 Willys CJ3B Jeep Known as the high hood jeep. Restoration completed in 2003 and has been a trophy winning trailer queen since. Frame off restoration with a new all steel body. New braje shoes wheel cyliders master cylinder and steel lines and rubber lines. New wiring harness, lites steering wheel ,5 new nonderical tires, and gauges with the speedometer showing 160.7 miles. The collor is Willys plantation white. Basicly if it needed new it got it. There is one spot with paint rubed off were the hod  meets the cowl on righ side. Some very small paint chips on rims, stone chips hard to see .There is a vey small exhaust noise on idel but goes away after that. There is some play in the rear diffential if that causes you ploblem I will a good set of rears. You want to come see it, I will take you for ride. Questions call John 570-836-6645.
