Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. “1960 Willys CJ3B with original drive train which runs excellent. I had driven it onto the tow bed upon purchase. I have not started the vehicle in over a year. TUB floors are rusted. Front Fenders, Hood, Grill are restorable. Tub can also be restored if you have the time otherwise you can pick one up from Willys Overland in TOLEDO. Purchased it for restoration from a very well known Willys MB restorer in Wisconsin who indicated that all the jeep needs is body work and ofcourse cleanup and paing to the chassis and engine and nothing else. I do not have the time with 2 toddlers in the house. Asking price is 1200.00 Firm.”

“The CJ3B page has a description of the Military version of a CJ3B, it says this one is the “Rare” Army version, whether it is or not I don’t know but it is in pretty good shape for being a 1964. Has the Koenig top but no doors, no motor but I do have a rebuildable one sitting out back. Will trade for a civilian CJ3B with a super good body even if I end up paying you money. Otherwise I need the $1600″

That’s a pretty rare top.
“Up for sale is a 1963 Willys Universal Jeep with only 20,595 miles. This is a 2 owner Jeep with a Hurricane 4 Cyl engine and famous 4 wheel drive. The drive train is in very good condition and a new Fuel Pump, Carburator, and master cyl. have been installed. The tires are like new.
This jeep was bought new by the Antioch, Ill volunteer fire department and was used to fight grass and brush fires for years. Please see the picture of a similarily equipped jeep in this add and a period advertisement for the unit. A member of the fire department purchased this jeep and has owned it for many years. It has been carefully housed in Florida for some time and was only used as transportation to the Fort Myers Beach. There are a couple of pictures showing some minor body rust spots.
This is your chance to own a classic Jeep in very good operating condition. With some minor body work, it will clearly make someone an excellent piece of automotive history.
The successful buyer is responsible for transportation expense from Fort Myers Fl. The seller will accept a cashier’s check or cash on or before delivery of the unit. “For Sale is a 1948 Willys Jeep & quarter ton military trailer dated 1945.The jeeps early years from world war 2 on to the late 1940,did”t change that much . It’s a 4 cylinder with a three-speed tranmisom. It. It also has all new brakes, drums, cylinder, lines, and has been completely rewired to a 12-volt system. It has many new parts and it runs very good .I enjoyed having this jeep in many local parades over the years. The price is $7,500. This can be seen today. Please email if you have any questions. “Here’s a 1954 Willy’s High Hood Jeep, has hard top, warn overdrive, extra steering wheel, new gas tank, two military rims on the front and new oversize brakes still in the boxes. Very little rust and seats are still in good shape. Motor does not run but everything appears to still be there. This would be a great restoration project for an individual or Father and Son. “This 1961 Willys Jeep has been parked without being started for 5 years. It was driven to the spot where it is now. Has all running gears, trans, transferr case, axles etc.
Everthing is still on motor. Jeep ran good before being parked. Transmission is gummed up and stuck where it has been sitting for so long! Has 2 original fuel cans.
No top or doors! Windsheld in great shape! Body very rough. Everything else would be great for parts. HAVE TITLE!! This was my Dads Jeep. He gave it to me when I moved to KY. to use on our farm. If not sold I will restore it myself at a later date!”

“1953 Jeep Willys CJ3B. Great running reliable Jeep willys originally purchased by US Navy for base use as depicted on plaque installed on dash. Not a show quality vehicle but not a rust bucket and no areas needing to be addressed. Original color was orange for naval base use to identify allied vehicles. Used on weekends with my kids for parades, jeep events, and beach trips. It has a great running 4 cylinder with manual transmission .Starts right up every time,no leaks, Has tow bar, 4 Wheel drive works as it should with no mechanical issues whatsoever. Tires installed within last year. Has spare tire not mounted. Hard top can be removed and comes with alternate windshield and glass. Seat covers are like new. Interior has been completely covered in soundproofing to reduce exterior noise. All lights, blinkers, turn signals, radio, work perfectly.
Absolutely nothing wrong with this vehicle just not being used enough to justify keeping. Classic insurance is only 85.00 per year and qualifies for classic QQ tags and registration.”

“1947 WILLYS JEEP All original metal cab, 3 speed transmission, NEW Engine- Totally Rebuilt 4 Cylinder Overhead Ford, This rebuild cost me $4,000. New Drive line, New Radial Tires. The body is straight!! No Dents Or Dings….. This jeep also has a tow bar so you are able to take it anywhere. There is not anything wrong with this jeep, it runs great and can get you just about anywhere. I am only selling it because i do not have any use for it.”

“I have a 1953 Willys CJ3B Jeep, it is in Good/Fair condition. I bought it in 2009 and drove it for a year than parked it in storage to work on it. The rest is history. I changed the oil, greased all joints, and changed the fluid in both diffs. It needs a full restoration if you wanna go that route.
134 c.i. OHV 4 cylinder, 3 spd. manual with twin stick transfer case
Dana 20 front axle, Dana 44 rear axle
This vehicle does not run but the engine is not seized up, I removed the rear drive shaft so it can be moved. It needs more than I can give it and I hate to let it go, but I’d rather see someone else driving it on the road, than have it sitting in front of my house.”
