UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $1500.
(10/25/2016) Needs plenty of work.
“Up for sale is a very rare jeep pickup truck.
It’s a 1961 jeep Fc 170.
They only made 30k of these in the few years they were produced.
This one does need a lot of work to the body to be road worthy but they are extremely hard to find.
This has a flathead 6 in it and a 3 speed transmission. The front axle is a Dana 44 and the rear is a Dana 53. ”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $5700
(10/16/2016) This M170 has had the large opening partially filled. It also has a Meyer half top. I’m not sure why the seller has included a photo of an FC, but maybe it is for sale?
“M170 Military Jeep in good overall shape for the year! These are getting harder to find and it runs drives and stops. Plow is working”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was on eBay.
Looks ready to roll.
“This 1963 Willys Jeep FC-170 is a strong running example of the companys medium wheelbase Forward Control model, This FC-170 is powered by a super reliable and ready for work and fun 226ci Super Hurricane motor.
It is rare to find these trucks in nice condition today as most were worked very hard and then cast aside. This FC-170 was expertly painted in the popular factory offered combination of red and cream. This example retains its proper tailgate markings and factory badging. Glass is in good condition as well, a big plus as good replacements are difficult to find. The side-mounted spare and un-incorporated tail lights complete the look.
Used primarily for fair weather weekend driving this truck looks just as it did when restored. The FC-170 model offered a nice compromise between looks and utility, as shorter 150s have less cargo space and longer 180 and 190s tend to look a bit stretched and ungainly.
Inside the cab things are nicely kept and almost entirely OEM. All gauges, lights and switches work as designed, including the interesting single digit scaled speedometer.
Power comes from a Continental Super Hurricane L-head straight six. Displacing 226 cubic inches and rated for about 110 HP and 190 lb. ft. at very low revs, this one starts easily, runs smoothly and offer excellent reliability. Power is distributed through a floor-shift 4-speed manual and hi/lo range transfer case, and all four tires are new.
This Unique Willys FC-170 amazingly comes with its original New Jersey Title. This is an outstanding opportunity to own a unique and highly sought after chapter in Jeep History.”
UPDATE: Sold out of NJ for $9500.
It doesn’t run.
“In very good restorable condition Willy’s Jeep Forward Control 170. Original paint and unique rare Jeep belonged to the Washington State Park Service. Factory winch and diamond plate steel front and rear bumpers, vacummed boosted brakes. Designed for work. Stored most of its life in a shed hence the little surface rust. An opportunity to acquire and restore a unique and rare jeep. Comes with antenna, spare tire, Snorkel and Jeep manual. Missing driver window. Not running. I acquired Truck to restore but plans have changed. Please check out pictures and ask questions. Serious inquiries please. Have reserve but open to reasonable offers.”
UPDATE: Status Unknown. Was $2950
Neither runs.
“I have 2 forward control FC 170 jeeps for sale. One is a 58 and the other is a 62. The 58 is missing the bed but otherwise they are both complete! They each have their rust issues as they all do but the 58 is by far the best body. They both still have the factory flathead 6 cylinders in them and 3 speed trans. It looks like neither one has ran for a long time and I don’t know the condition of the drivetrain. But they are pretty rare and collectable. They are sold on a bill of sale as I have no titles. 3,750.00 for both. ”
No pics provided.
“Very rare jeep only few been made very niceee project everything works runs every day”

UPDATE :**SOLD** Was $1200.
Appears worth a look.
“64 fc170 flatbed dump. 4wheel drive. 6 cylinder Willys Hurricane engine. Turns over with battery, but does not run. 3 speed transmission shifts well. PTO hydraulic pump runs the 9×7’dump flatbed. Has no brakes but rolls freely. All 4 tires hold air. Frame in decent shape. Only rough part is near the drivers side front spring hanger. Easily boxed. Has upper plow frame. All glass is good, but one small chip in windshield and some minor fogging. Body need some work, but not actively rusting. Doors are in good shape with mostly functional crank up windows and vents. All 4 cab corners need some work. Also needs floor work. This truck is a project. A non runner.”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $3500.

“Classic Willy Jeep
1958 WILLY JEEP FC 150
FORWARD CONTROL
RUNS AND DRIVES
will trade for 29-32 model A”
Buz was exploring SEMA today and happened upon this built FC. This jeep is part of the “Battle of the Builders”. Buz sent the description written by the builder.
“1958 Restomod Jeep. In the words of Mark Turner, CEO of Daystar Products International, “This vehicle was built to be driven.” To date, Turner’s classic cab forward 58 jeep has many trips including one down to the southernmost point int he United States, Key West Florida. The jeep is built to embrace both hot rodding and off-roading with specific parts that can handle both responsibilities. Under the hood is a late-model 5.7 liter Hemi engine which supplies power to a transmission and transfercase, suitable for on and off road use. The jeep also features 17-inch vintage wheels wrapped in interco tires. Inside, modern amenities such as air condition, leather seating, and cruise control help define the jeep as a dual purpose specialist.”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $1800.
(12/06/2015) May be worth a look.
“1965 forward control 170 jeep 3/4 ton 4×4 it is complete with good title could be used for parts or project it has rust on cab. frame is in excellent shape has hurricane 6 cyl last run in1996 has side dump bed on it would trade for older ford truck.”
Seller lists this as a FC-150, but it looks longer than that to me.
“this jeep is in good mechanic conditions, everything works ready to go.good proyect 30.000 only been made very rare, ”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $2000.
It’s a project.
“1962 Willys FC170 4wd. I was planning on restoring this over the winter, however don’t believe that will happen. The frame is solid and the engine is not seized, but it does not run. Due to the year of the FC, it never had a title. I spoke with the NYC DMV prior to purchasing this project and they provided all the necessary paperwork required to register the vehicle once it is ready for the road. This is the late style cab to assist in the air flow for the engine cooling.
This is a project jeep. The cab needs work, however I purposed looked for a flatbed style to limit the amount of sheet metal work required.
Definably one of the more unique Jeep designs and would be a blast once she is completed. ”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $6000.
Craig spotted this one.

(10/01/2016) Jim spotted this pair of FCs.
“We bought these a while back as projects for our shop. Well, we got caught up doing other things and these got pushed to the back burner and now they are just sitting here taking up space. It is going to be a long time before we get to them, so it is time to let them go to someone who can probably use them for parts or to rebuild. I was told that one was a 57 and one was a 58, but someone has since told me one is a widetrack and is a newer model. Not sure what year though. They both have a lot of rust. One has the doghouse and tailgate, the other does not. They are both missing the seats. One of them has a better body and one has a better bed, but they both have the complete 4-cyl driveline. One of them supposedly ran but we never got a chance to try it out.”
Needs some work.
“Well here it is ready to be finished off the hole underneath was a body off or stored sandblasted frame went through the differentials check the motor had plenty of compression need to hook up brakes and drive shaft only needs body work to be completed almost all parts are there except for back windshield back window that’s flat that’s easy I’ll have a new Painless wiring harness and new carburetor ”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $2995.
Hasn’t been run in two years.
“Rare 1959 FC 150 Willys Jeep. Original flat 4 engine. I have owned her since 2001. She ran fine and I drove her up until 2014. 3 speed tranny with Hi/Lo mode. She is red/white. She is in rough shape now, has body cancer, doors and windows not working, and more. She has not been run in two years so I can’t vouch for anything working. All offers will be considered. Any questions please contact Jeff.”
