“Up for auction is a very rare (1 of 1,119) 1964 Kaiser Jeep Forward Control 170 3/4 ton pickup truck. 1964 was the last year of production for the FC-170 and the end of the Kaiser/Jeep era. This could be your only chance to ever buy a fully restored FC-170, no kidding they are that rare.
This Jeep was fully restored by a professional shop in 2010, not some father son project in a back yard. The attention to detail speaks to this fact. Since restoration the Jeep has accumulated approximately 1000 proven miles.
The Jeep was restored to original with a few modern upgrades. The seats are a bucket type that are fully adjustable. Custom 33 gallon fuel tank with stainless steel filler neck. Custom made rear bumper with built in LED tail lights. LED side marker lights. Two storage lids were fabricated behind the seats to cover the battery and a storage area. Engine will run on unleaded fuel.
The teal green is the original color as is the white grill and white wheels. An additional pin stripe was added around the white accent.
The front winch bumper was most likely a dealer add on. It has a Ramsey 8000 lbs PTO driven winch with 50′ of cable.
Engine and transmission were fully rebuilt and hardened valve seats were added to the engine so unleaded fuel can be used. ”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was on eBay

(08/05/2014) Make sure to put “Cab Over” in the subject line of the email to help seller weed out spam emails.
“Please read entire ad before responding.
1959 Willys Jeep “Forward Control”, FC-150, Deluxe Cab over engine, 4×4. All original and always stored indoors.
Runs, drives and stops well for 55 year old vehicle. New carb. kit, installed. New fuel tank and sending unit installed. All fluids changed. Good windshield. Door glass and rear glass are cracked but good for templates or drive as is. Flat glass can be replaced by most local glass shops. Cab corners in good shape. All interior parts are there, including dog house, rare glove box and has new seat covers installed.
These vehicles are rare to find in this condition, anywhere, in the Midwest.
It is NOT a rust bucket, NOT a parts truck.
All frame, tailgate and sheet metal in great shape. No rust or rot.
A classic vehicle not seen often these days.
I DON’T NEED to sell it and I, sure, DON’T need any help to do so.
I know what these are worth so save us both some time and don’t attempt a low ball offer, not going to happen. I’ll just keep it.
It’s a cool old truck! It needs to be driven and I don’t have the time.
Local pick up only, will not ship. Have your money in hand. I have title in hand and it is current on registration. Registered in Iowa as “Antique”, includes perfect, vintage Y.O.M. (1959) Iowa, “Iowa County” (48), plates to drive with legally.
Can e-mail pictures, etc.
Include “Cab Over” in subject or it will be deleted due to scammers.
Include e-mail and phone number in response.
Thanks for looking!”
In honor of this weekend’s FC Northwest Gettogether in Tacoma, Washington, I thought this article was appropriate. McCahill isn’t shy about some of his ‘beefs’ with the new FC.

“I have a super rare 1962 Willys FC-150 (Forward Control). Approximately 8800. It’s powered by a 4cyl F4 with a 3 speed T-90 transmission (rebuilt) all new brakes, carb was rebuilt, new shocks, 12volt conversion chassis was all painted. All lights and directionals work. Heat works. All glass is there and in great shape. The body is rough in some spots but it’s all there. I was driving the truck every weekend and let me tell you the stares and looks I would get were worth the truck alone.”
UPDATE: Pics now provided.

#1 1965 title, vinplate, ran and drove last year, look good (relatively) blasted and coated chassis, all mechanicals gone through, cab has rust but looks decent, drivetrain solid, complete, bed is rusted beyond repair, starts and runs great, brake fluid leaked out over winter so no brakes but besides that it runs and drives,

UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $4600.
Needs a few items, but sure looks solid.
“Here’s a most affordable RARE antique vehicle, made by Willys for farm/ranch use.
This little truck’s teeny 134 c.i. engine runs very well, top speed about 45 mph in high range. Same running gear as a similar era CJ, but it’s mid-engined, giving it great traction in 4wd. The little flatbed has a massive set of springs supporting it, 15″ tires are good, paint/body are decent.
Included is a 6′ Western snowplow, power lift only, that is currently not installed but its frame can be easily re-bolted. With chains on all wheels, I’ve pushed fresh snow high as the windows. The cabover design lets you see right where the blade is, for tight spots.
Strong Points:
Has a high Cool Factor. Everybody likes the Jeep.
Starts right up, and roars right off — is a good runner; a great repair manual and minor spare parts included.
Great running gear — no leaks, brakes are very good (for it’s era).
Driver’s window is just right for hanging your elbow out.
Weak Points:
Windshield has major cracks on the right side and both side glass is plexiglass (been that way since before I bought it in the late 80’s – I did see an ad recently for a cab with intact glass for $100, so this is solvable).
Runs hot in the summer (needs a bigger radiator fan and vents in the bed’s headboard), needs a speedo cable made up.”
