“This Jeep is a true military version, with the original green paint showing through beneath the yellow repaint.
The hard top is authentic, as are the wooden doors which I have included photos of a restored jeep with the same top and doors.
My Jeep has been parked for many years, motor is stuck, brakes not working, but this is pretty complete.
Minimal rust
I only have a bill of sale, as a past owner lost the title many years ago.
Possible trades, in no hurry to sell”

Could be a good M-38A1 for bringing back to original.
“This M38A1 Willys Jeep is in great condition. It runs and drives with no trouble. It has a newly rebuilt engine, transfer case, and carburetor. It runs on a 24 volt system. It’s 95% original with a few parts such as the passenger handle in front of the seat that came from a CJ5. Brand new 6 ply tires and drum brakes all around. Seats are in excellent condition with no rips or tears. The only thing missing is the windshield wiper motor. I’m in the process of registering it so it will be road legal. It will be registered next week or the week after that. The DMV issues trip permits to unregistered vehicles so if you would like a test drive that can be arranged”

UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $12,500.
“This is a 1962 Marine variant M38A1. As such, it has the original stock front and rear lift rings, extended rear bumper, front/rear limited slip differentials and late model air cleaner. The entire vehicle was restored as an off-frame restoration with all mechanical and electrical aspects rebuilt. Jeep has 16,500 miles on it and runs as new. It was originally marked as USN in forest green but was restored with USMC markings. Most likely originally a Seabee jeep. Hood number is actual original. Asking $12,500.”
UPDATE: **Status Unknown** Was $12,500.
Looks in good shape.
“All original Korean War Era 4×4 Jeep. Mechanically sound and no rust through anywhere ( some surface peel ). Runs like a top.
Two sets of tires and wheels, full curtains including radiator quilt, canvas seat covers and 2 new 12Volt batteries.
This rare original has seen minimal use. It appears to have been an officer’s jeep because it has a heater. Markings include “82 AB” and “HQ” on front bumper. Jerry can on the back.
Can be seen by appointment. Call with any questions. No long emails, texts. Not interested in any low ball offers and no help needed in selling. Garage kept and as good as you will find for its age.”
Might be a good price. Seller lists one jeep as an M-38, but it looks to be a CJ-3A (thanks Mark).
“1951 M38 for restoration, $1250 1952 M38A1 for restoration, very complete $2750 Have titles for both”
There’s still some work left on this project.

134 ci Hurricane engine. New brakes from backing plate to tires. New wheel bearings & seal’s all the way around. New front hubs, new master cylinder with brake light switch. All rubber brake lines and stainless steel line’s replaced.
To complete this project all you need it time and labor. Everything that I needed to buy for it has been bought. You’ll need to adjust the master cylinder & bleed the brakes. Gas tank been repaired, New floor pan that goes under the fuel tank is included. Complete new fuel line, new fuel pump and a carb rebuild kit are also included. I have a fuel cell and electric pump for it. Radiator has been repaired, new bottom hose & fan belt. I’ve reupholstered the seats. Like I said before, everything you need to put this Jeep back on the road comes with it. I’m also throwing in a Tote bar. There are some other parts that will also go with it.
Before I tore into this project I drove it and motor and tranny was in pretty good shape. I bought it to restore, but have decided I’m too old start another project. $2,500 will buy you a lot of fun. ”
