Mark was asking about the side auxiliary windows on a Meyer hardtop and wonder if those were custom made or a factory option. This four page Meyer brochure answers that question.
This 1944 Ad out of the Southeast Missourian featured “Jim” piloting what looks like a Ford GP.
For anyone that missed Jeep’s Superbowl commercial, here it is:
The Victoria Advocate featured this story in the December 12, 1956, issue of the Victoria Advocate. Just below the article was an ad for the FC-150.
It’s a classic.
“Collectible Rarely seen late 50s Willys Jeep Four Wheel Drive vehicles light-up dealership sign.”
Your headaches are over if you buy a jeep? That’s a new one! This was published in the Schenectady Gazette Feb 19, 1946.
UPDATE: Glenn shared this pic of restored Mahl Jeep Loader. It’s located near Minneapolis.
ORIGINAL POST FROM 2012:
There appears to be an article about the Mahl Loader in the 1949 Municipal Journal & Engineer, Volume 80, but I can’t read the whole article. Farm Implement News, Volume 70 page 149, from 1949 also has an article, again I can’t read the whole thing.
Maury scanned and shared this CJ-5 Brochure. It is easy to forget how many accessories were offered for the CJ-5 in 1970. Of course, this doesn’t include other aftermarket parts that were available.
Maury spotted these engine brochures. I can’t tell if they are one page or multi-page.

There’s no description and only one pic, but there appears to be a mechanical mule brochure on eBay.
The top ad is from the October 1945 issue of the Spokesman Review. It ran for at least a month (October – November, 1945). The colored version below is a print from a scan (magazine scan?).
This looks like a unique piece.
“Here I have an Extremely rare Willys Jeep Military proposal for a 4-Year program from 1956.
This is a Plastic Comb Binding Book which was apparently used in presentation for the proposed 4-Year Military Development Program for the ¼ Ton 4×4 Willys Vehicles.
Book is dated 10 October 1956.
Books specifies the M38-A1 and presents analyses of weight reduction and cost savings.”
Here’s an interesting book. I haven’t seen one in this format.
“Original great condition. Willy’s Jeep Toledo, Ohio 1957. Paperback. Shows slight age.”
Cool postcard. Nice shot of the Auburn Machine Works in the background.
“VINTAGE POSTCARD ADVERTISING JEEP-A-TRENCH TRUCK/CAR AUBURN NEBRASKA NICE!!!”
In a seasonally perfect topic, Tim forwarded this link that included a video that has some vintage video of jeeps moving snow with Meyer plows. The video notes that Meyer has been selling plows since World War II. I happened upon a second Meyer video on youtube, featuring 1960s innovations. Finally, below the videos are four pages from a 1947 special equipment book showing early Meyer ads.

UPDATE: **SOLD** Was on eBay.
Here’s a cool FC item.
“Kaiser jeep willys jeep forward control. This is a very rare whirl away ashtray jeep dealer promotion item. Purchased from estate of a man who owned a jeep dealership for many years. It is a chrome ashtray with a jeep fc on top. I have done a lot of research and only found one similar which had a cj3b on it. These were only sold to dealerships. And the fc was only made for a few years. You may never see another one. Looks like it will shine up nice . I lest the dirt and grime on it. A bit of rust where the ashes sat. Ask questions look photos over well.”
It has a good starting price.
” Super Rare 1961 JEEP Willys Government Sales Binder with lots of interesting pics, diagrams, brochures, specs and more. Excellent condition”
This 1964 Ad appeared in the Toledo Blade newspaper.
Frank Haagen & Son was an Ellensburg, Washington, Jeep dealer. It was published November 16, 1953, in the Ellensburg Daily Record.
On July 12,1947, Lewiston Evening Journal out of Maine published this neat ad. Several other newspapers across the US also published the ad.
There’s lots of comic books and military items at this auction. The lot of Willys brochures looks interesting, especially that Willys Export Vehicle Program brochure.

This CJ-6ish jeep has no fuel inlet on the driver’s side. It also appears to have some kind of Tuxedo Park package (front bumper for example). Price is a crazy $99! It’s listed as a 1958 CJ-3B brochure.
“Original part color folder , 7.5 x 10.5 folded , 15 x 10.5 unfolded , has 2 horizontal folds , text in Chinese and English .”
