“I built this Jeep starting in the summer of 2005. It was completely stripped down to nothing and built from the ground up by myself and my father in our garage. Theres alot of custom work, body being the biggest, i saved the original cowl section and built the body off that. All new sheet metal was utilized in the body tub. Reproduction tailgate, windshield frame, fenders, hood and grille are utilized also. The roof is made by Kelly Ironworks, it’s in amazing condition! It spent most of it’s life in storage. I completely stripped the doors, new window tracks were installed, the original glass is still there, it does have some scratches from over the years. I found keys for the locks so the interior can be secured when the doors are on. The windows roll up and down fine. There is a lockable storage compartment under the passenger seat. Paint is enamel.

“1946 Willys Jeep CJ-2A CJ Great Flat fender – (Saint Paul, MN)
1st civilian model
We did a frame off restoration in 1994. (including engine rebuild, tranny rebuild, etc….)
Runs and drives great. It has a warn overdrive (rare), which enables it to go 50/55 mph.
We have owned it for about 21 years. We recently tuned it it up. (Master cylinder, cap, rotor, plugs, and carb adjustment, oil change and pan re-seal, new alum radiator, water pump, and alternator (GM Style).
(pictures don’t show new radiator and alternator)
Tires are in great shape.
4 wheel drive works well, and the transfer case works properly. All electrical works as well. We hate to let it go, but have too many Jeeps. It is only used to plow our driveway – this is not its’ primary function.
Please call with any questions. I prefer you call between 4:00pm and 8 pm. The Jeep is currently in heated storage in Anoka, but can be taken out. (wed evenings work well for me) Please call instead of emailing (I am posting this for my father, he does not do Craigslist)”
The drain holes have been filled.

“Early 1946 Willys Cj2a that runs, drives, and stops. The body is original and has been patched over the years. Rare column shift (3 on the tree) transmission. Engine could use rings as it smokes/burns oil but has lots of power. A perfect winter rebuild project! One tire has a slow leak but all are matching and like new. I plan on getting the leak repaired..”

“Was posted as not driving earlier but I fixed the transmission issue.
1948 Willys CJ-2A, aka Jeep, was summer project, asking $3,500 or best offer, if you got a good Stihl or husky saw (20” bar preferred) to negotiate with that’d work. NO OTHER TRADES.
Lots of recent work:
Fluids changed: Gas, oil (and filters x2), transmission, transfer, front differential (all with correct “safe for all metals” fluids) coolant, brakes. New coolant temp gauge. New fuel pump, new fuel hose (second tank not hooked up yet). Parking brake refurbished, new parking brake cable and cable housing, New front brake lines, Front hubs and bearings re-greased. Carb re-gasket/rebuild new choke cable, cable housing, pull piece in cab, new air filter. New speedometer and cable. Electrical cleaned up, headlights and brake lights operational. I have brake master cylinder gasket rebuild kit, it didn’t need it. Skid plate was cleaned up but I didn’t remount because I was still working on speedometer. Added front tow attachment, and rear hubs can be un-locked for easy flat towing.
It starts powerfully, runs and drives well but I have no time to play or take it to the next level.”
