“1946 Jeep Willy’s project. Motor(L-134), trans(T-90) and transfer case(dana spicer 18) is good. Currently putting all new seals and bearings in transmission and transfer case. Was running when I started taking it apart for a restoration. Drivetrain/ Engine is stripped of rust/dirt and painted. I have old body that could be reused but is in rough shape. Frame is in good shape, needs cleaned up. I do not have a title, can give bill of sale. I have alot of time and money into this, I know I’ll never get that out of it but I’m not giving it away. Please make reasonable offer. Dont need to sell, just have other projects i would rather put the money into. Great father and son project, easy to work on and best of all… Most of the hard work is done! Theres all yhe information yiu could ever want online. Possible trade fir hunting items or dirtbike/enduro, must be worth what im asking if not more.”

(05/27/2014) It’s a project.
“Here is a 1948 willy jeep in pieces. I have everything except the windshield and original seats. The motor is a military boat motor, don’t know if it runs or not. Someone started to make the jeep into a river rat and stopped. The body is a typical willys jeep body. Had a good grille, tailgate, hood. New gas tank, good radiator. Everyone has their own opinions about condition, if you are curious come look at it. The jeep is in average to below average shape for one sitting outside all its life. I do have some spare parts. I also HAVE a TITLE.”

“Excellent running 1946 CJ2A. Very original, drives right down the road with no squeaks or rattles. Lock out hubs and 4WD works just fine. Headlights, tail-lights, turn signal and interior lights, horn (vintage) all work as designed.
I bought this a few months back, and since then have done the following: new tires, new fuel pump and regulator, new Solex carburetor, new shocks, new exhaust system front to back, new instruments, new transmission cross member and motor mounts. I changed the intake/exhaust manifold gasket, set the valves, changed the plugs and wires, and timed the motor. Engine, transmission, overdrive, transfer case and differential oils all changed.
The L134 flathead makes good power, does not smoke, has good oil pressure and runs cool. There’s an enormous winch mounted on the front, which I have been told is WWII vintage for moving aircraft on the runway.
Body has the usual dings and rust typical of a 70 year old Willys.
I am selling to get a more highway friendly Jeep, although one can drive this 60 MPH if they wish.
Email me your phone number and I will call you. Reasonable offers are welcome. ”
