“I am selling my 1942 Willys CJ2A. One of the first Jeeps ever produced. The drive train and engine are in great shape, as well as the axles and driveline. The motor is a 3.8L buick V6 that i just tuned up and registered for road use. It has nice hi-back seats, working gauge cluster, padded roll bar, windshield wipers, fold out and down windshield, dual exhaust, Warn M8000 12volt winch, updated front and rear axles, updated suspension and lift, jerry can and spare tire rack on the back, optima yellow top battery, overdrive installed, tires are 7.00-15 LT. I have a top for this that I have never installed. Gets great gas milage! Odometer says 3311 but I don’t know how many miles are actually on this vehicle. The body is probably off of a 1947-49 not sure. Title is listed as a 1942. Would make a good run around vehicle or a fun restoration project.”
It does not include the top.
“1948 willys jeep, original with original fault 4 6 volt motor, transmission and transfer case, runs good for its age. Does not come with top.”
UPDATE **SOLD** Was $8500.

UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $1500.
How about that ‘roll bar’? Looks like a good price.
“Great project. Has a lot of potential. No title but should be real easy to get one.”
This seems to be a mix of parts, but appears to be mostly MB.
“This Willys is a true survivor. The id number is a MB number, but is considered a 1947 by the DMV. The tub is a MB. The driver side has been smoothed over with bondo at some point, but the ribs for the tools can be seen on the inside. The window is post war as well as the M38 grille. The jeep will need to be seen. It needs tlc for sure but is a driver. I just ordered a new Holley 1904 carb which set me back $350. The one on now runs, but leaks a little.
I have the window rubber, just no glass. I also have the wood stops for the hood as well as the brackets for the window hinge. No glass.
The engine is what I can best figure is a 1953 F-Head Hurricane engine. It has the generator, but is wound to a 12v system. It has Model A tail lights. It comes with a complete Willys-Overland Arctic Cover or hard top. They fit MB’s as well as M38’s.
The tires are too big, so I pulled off the rear, but the front still cause it to rumble a bit. When it sells I will be taking off the rear wheels and putting back on the big ones. You will need to put new rubber on unless you don’t mind the rumble and wobble they cause. ”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $3000

It’s a project that might have been a VEC CJ-2A at some point.

“This is a nice project jeep that I have invested twice that asking price, it is just becoming painfully obvious that I just don’t have the time to work on it.

Looks in good shape.
“Here’s your chance to own an American Classic! This Willys Jeep has been in one family since 1948. The vehicle had a frame up restoration in the mid-1980s and is still in solid condition and good working order. It has been garage kept and meticulously maintained over the years. The car starts and runs great. All of the wiring works (odometer needs connected).”
Looks solid.
