Mitch spotted this jeep and asked my opinion. I said that someone lazily painted everything red — the frame, the hmbs, the bolts, and more — which usually suggests that someone was simply trying to cover what is there (rust, dirt, etc). I also suspect that underneath the diamond plating in the back are holes or rust or something. It looks like there is some denting on the driver rear quarter panel, but that could be an optical illusion.”
Here’s another one Mitch spotted. The paint is faded and their is some rust along the real tailgate. I’m surprised to see a pintle on the back of this also.

1947 Willys 4×4 Jeep for sale. We lost our Lease and are selling our toys.
Jeep is painted camo with heavy duty commercial signage paint. Top swivel seats in back. Eight total gun holders on this jeep. Brand new military tires. Two top KC lights in cage on roll bar and 2 reverse KC lights with separate switches on roll bar. Four seats are recovered in camo. Has custom game carrier for rear hitch, and fold down permanent front game carrier. Engine has new electric fuel pump, new alternator, new headlights, new fuel regulator, new battery, new belts, rebuilt carb, cleaned and sealed radiator, engine runs strong and 4×4 can get you anywhere you need to go. Starts up every time. Very powerful 3 speed manual engine and tops out around 60 mph in 3rd gear.”

Powered by a 1961-64 corvette 283 c.i camel hump heads 300hp V8, runs perfect very smooth never over heats, has electronic igniton(points eliminator), with this motor and the 4-speed tranny you can cruise down the highway at 70 mph @2000 rpm no problem, new brakes a couple years ago very very few miles on them, has front and rear lockers,spicer Dana 18 t-case just rebuilt, bodies in good condition, paint in in driver condition, has 2-speed heater(very handy), has 31″ mud terrain tires with matching spare tire/wheel, stored indoors for past 10 years, reg is in non-op, very cheap to insure and register.shows 10750mi on odometer but speed cable is broken, jeep is ready to go hunting, 4-wheeling, beach cruising, sold as is. we reserve the right to end the auction at any time.”
The steps have been repaired, but the VEC body looks solid.

I have 2 children and no reliable car to take them on vacations..It has a good paint job,New lift,shocks, and 35×12.50-15 BFG tires. Have a (best top) soft top and doors for it that are not in the pics. Has cd player,wiring is all good,everything works great but the gas guage and speedometer.. 4X4 works great,it has a buick v6 that runs great and is good on gas.. There’s some value here. The seller rightly points out the issue with the front frame rails.
“1946 Jeep more than just a parts Jeep. This Jeep was running about 5 years ago and I am currently getting it running again. The drive train and engine were fine and should still be. Good hood, fenders, tailgate gas tank. Had new brakes at that time. The rear tires are not for a Jeep. It comes with 4 original wheels with out tires. The tires and wheels that are on it now are just to move it around, but they will go with the purchase. Has been converted to 12 volt, with alt. The front end hit something hard and bent the frame horns where the bumper attaches, can be seen in one of the photos. Also has a original steering wheel and rear bumper included.”

“This is whats left of a 1948 Willys Jeep Model CJ2A. It runs (with a jump) as well as shift, all gears, high & low, front axle in & out. It has no brakes. The body is in very poor condition although the windsheild frame is salvagable. I put a rebuild carburator and head gasket on it to get it running. It has no tags, therefore, no papers. Unless you’re really motivated,”

Listed as a 1946, it has a CJ-3B body.

Heavy duty bumpers front and rear, with rear receiver hitch. Front ford disc brakes only, rear brakes do not exist, carbureator needs a kit, accelerator pump doesn’t function properly, has a new battery. Fun vehicle to drive. It could be the pics, but the underside doesn’t look like it’s been completely rebuilt and painted. Looks solid.

(03/13/2012) This isn’t 4wd, but it looks like it has a good body and rollcage. This appears to have a mb or gpw body.

UPDATE: These parts were donated to a church for sale by the church. They have been sold. They were $900.
The fact that this body has a drain hole by the step, but no gas inlet is a little puzzling. It has full floaters in the rear, but also has a tail gate. The windshield is CJ-2A. The hood and fenders are civilian, while the grille is ww2. This appears to be a mutt of a jeep to me.

“Up for sale is my super cool 1947 Willys CJ2A. First off, it does need an engine and is currently not running, but won’t be too expensive to get it going. It’s got a Chevy 350 V8 with a SM420 4 spd manual transmission with granny gear. Dana 20 transfer case, Dana 44 rear diff with welded spiders and stock front diff. Has new Warn hubs on all 4 wheels for flat tow and includes a tow bar. Tub and floor is coated with Truck bed coating. Tires are brand new 33x1250x15 Mastercraft Courser M/T mudders and have maybe 200 miles on them if even that much. Chevy 350 engines are easy to find and can usually be bought in running condition for $500 or less. This Willys has a fiberglass hood, but I also have 2 original steel hoods for an extra $200. Has electric fuel pump, new tailgate, good windshield. I’ve even done the body work and shot it in primer. I never did shoot paint on it becasue I thought it looked cool in primer. Has brand new racing seats mounted on steel brackets. This is a cool rig and has been lots of fun for me but I need to make room for other projects. If interested, give me a call or email me through Craigslist. Please don’t bother me with spam or trying to scam me. I won’t fall for that crap. I would consider offers and am willing to sell without the new tires and wheels for $1600. Not willing to part this rig out. I may consider trades, just let me know what you have.
