(10/27/09) This is a Square Finder Willys Jeep; I’m don’t know what that means?  The jeep sounds well modified.

“New Starter, New seat in back, Buckets in front, Full role cage, 1967 Chev. 327 eng., New Power Steering Pump, Radiator rodded out, 15 x 10 Chrome Spocked Rims, Tires like new 33 x 12.5 x 15, Ten Thousand Lb. Warren Winch, Rebult Tranfer Case, SM-420 Transmission, Running gear from a 1973 CJ5, Model 30 Front end, Dana 60 rear end with Possi-Traction, 427 Gear Ratio, And a newly fully rebuilt Rodchester Spread Bore Carb.”

The serial number of 154827 suggests this is actually a 1948 not a 1949. There’s been a great deal of work and money spent on this judging from the chrome and clean lines.

” Has a Pennsylvania clear title, not a reconstructed.  Vehicle is exceptionally clean, starting with the body: new all steel replica tub, front fenders, hood, grill assembly and 2-piece windshield from original vehicle. Has premium tailgate with Willy’s logo and shell has a glove box. There is no body filler on this vehicle.  Paint is acrylic enamel with hardener and gloss additive, wet sanded and buffed. “1946 willys jeep for sale. Upgraded to a V-6 motor, lots of power. Beefed up transmission with low miles and new rear end with even lower miles. Used only for hunting. Serious inquiries only.

(08/10/09) The jeep’s hard to see in this pic, but at first glance looks good.

“1948 Willys Jeep with a Chevy 283 V-8 with a Warn overdrive. Everything is 12 Volt and has a heater and comes with two original backseats. Original transmission, axles, and differentials. Extras include a bikini top, front push guard, spare gas tank and tire and the Jerry gas cans. Tires are in great shape and the body and tub has no rust. I really do not want to sell it, but I just do not use it anymore.”

(09/20/09) This has got a wide rimmed, slanted dashboard fiberglass body.  It also has the rear wheel well extended slightly.

“I bought the car in 1998, and I spent six years restoring it down to the frame. I have most, if not all receipts, amounting to roughly $28,000 investment, but truthfully it was as much a hobby project as it was a toy after the fact. A few years ago I was offered 30k for it, but I just couldn’t part with it at the time. I don’t drive it much. It stays garaged except for the weekly ’round the block drive. It had an early 60’s 265 cid, I replaced it with a 1972 327cid – 350 HP motor (from a corvette) overhauled by Greulich of Scottsdale (builder of professional grade racing engines.. several have powered winning racing machines at Firebird Raceway and elsewhere)….”
