(0206/2020) Appears in good shape. Has a Sears Deluxe hardtop.
“Well preserved, all original, in great condition, Jeep willys 4cyl flathead with overdrive. All aluminum top from Sears and has never been removed.”
UPDATE: I wondered why the exhaust looked odd. Barney notes, the “tri-flanged tail pipe is for the fording tailpipe that would then go vertical up the back corner … but It should be clamped closer to the frame and not hanging down.”
Not perfect and not the ‘finest one still in existence’, but is a fairly solid example of a CJ-V35/U.

“For sale is the rarest of all military jeeps. The CJ-V35/U was built in early 1950 for the U.S. Marine Corps and only 1,000 units were built. This particular example is probably the finest one still in existence. It is totally solid and rust free. The original engine has been rebuilt and runs well. Brakes have been rebuilt and it has a new battery and a fresh tune up. They just don’t get any better than this one. All of this model had waterproof engine components and were set up for deep water fording. The waterproof starter, generator, and regulator are still functioning perfectly. I have 90% of the fording hardware to go with this jeep. This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to own the rarest and the best.”
UPDATE: Now on eBay. Current no reserve bid is $5900.
(01/15/2020) Looks in good shape. Has a Kelly hardtop and EasyLok hubs.

“Extremely nice 49 cj3a. No rust ever. Very unique original kelly steel cab. New tires, wheel cylinders, etc.”
As best as I can tell, this is a project, but the pics show varying stages of progress, so I’m unsure.

UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $5000
(12/02/2019) Has some rust in the spare tire mount area. The driver’s side front rim has three holes drilled in it. I can’t remember seeing that on any other rims? The odd look of the photos appear to be a quick removal of background stuff from the photos, which, depending on what you have in your garage, is a good idea.
“Hello, I am selling a 1950 Willys Jeep CJ3-A. This Jeep was running and insured but has been stored inside and not driven the last few years. I have a title for it and it will also need tabs. It maybe needs a battery as well, It is still on 6 volt current, a 12 volt battery was hooked in for ease of starting. It has the Go-Devil 4 cylinder and manual transmission and 4 wheel drive. The body is better then many of the Jeeps of this era that I have seen, it needs TLC and is not perfect but solid. It is a good Jeep that should be driven. I also have a brand new 300.00 windshield and weather striping for the Jeep if interested. Contact me with any questions. 5,000 obo Will consider serious offers, Thank You”
UPDATE: Status Unknown. Was $7500. The link to the $7500 price has been removed, but this ad for it at the more expensive price is still there.
