(05/23/2023) Listed as a 1947, It’s a 1950 CJ-3A.
“1947 jeep CJ3A. I was told it ran when I bought it but I have haven’t spent the time to get it running. It’s rare to have a Jeep this old with the original paint, etc… What attracted me to this Jeep was the original paint and patina. I had lofty aspirations of restoring it, but it has just sat in my shop for years. It was used in the back country for years as a hunting rig by the original owner and I was told it has packed out a lot of elk. I do have a roll bar for it, work manuals, and a few extra parts. This would make a really good project for someone who loves Jeeps. And it would be an absolute blast to drive around town, or take it into the back country. It is an original Darby, Montana Jeep. And was used extensively off road in the back country for elk hunting expeditions by two friends. $3900 obo. “
UPDATE: Still Available.
(09/08/2022) Has hardtop that needs glass.

(02/23/2023) “*4 CYL*, *3 SPEED MANUAL*, *4WD*. Here is a nice original Willy’s that you can go out and have some fun with and not worry about scratching it. MECHANICAL- It has the original drivetrain and a 6 volt electrical system. EXTERIOR- The body is original and not rusty but does have some dings and scratches. It has a vinyl top that goes with it. INTERIOR- The interior is very simple with front bucket seats. It also has a rear seat that is not mounted. TEST DRIVE- I have drove it a couple miles and drives nice and shifts well. Ask for the video of driving it. VALUE- We price our vehicles to market value and try to be one of the best prices of vehicles in comparable condition. UPDTE: **SOLD** Was $6500. As Bill notes in the comments, there has been some odd activity with this Jeep.
Seller believes this to be a Farm Jeep based on the serial number. The hardtop is a Kelly “23” series top. Thanks to Tom for sharing it.
“Serial Number 453GC1 10049 indicates a 4-cylinder, 1953 production year. The fifth symbol C indicates a Farm Jeep. About 10,617 CJ3As were produced in 1953, but only 85 serialized Farm Jeeps were produced in 1953, this Willys is number 49. Less than 10 of these are listed in the Kaiser Willys or CJ3B.info databases to still be intact or running. While it has been resprayed, the original color was Pacific Blue, and the original paint can be seen under the hood and inside the fenders.
Farm Jeeps had reinforced frames for the additional implements as well as upgraded springs. The frame and suspension are in good shape. The engine and drive train are fully functional, and it starts and drives reliably. Steering is reasonable for the condition, however much of its 27,000 actual miles has been off pavement, while it can be driven on the road, it would need adjustments to feel comfortable above 45 MPH.
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $2500.
Several folks forwarded this one. Interesting that this has a top with side windows. It just further demonstrates that the CJ-5 and DJ-3A versions of this top were interchangeable.
