CJ-5 set up for ice racing in Georgetown, Colorado. Unfortunately, racing was cancelled this last winter as the lake ice didn’t get thick enough to allow racing.

“A 1961 Jeep CJ5 with Warn Overdrive. This jeep has 68,000 original miles. With the exception of the tires and new suspension, the Jeep is all original as factory shipped. It is in very good condition, very reliable, and very gently used. Vehicle was acquired 20 years ago from a PA estate sale.
The original body has been patched. The frame is solid. The body under carriage has surface rust, and was patched, as to be expected for a 57 year old vehicle, but is very solid for its age. The body was repainted to match the original color (sky blue). The paint is in good condition, but certainly not show quality.

This baby sounds mean with dual three inch side pipes. The Chevy 350 engine has been been modified
to produce major torque and power.Many items custom made to this CJ-5 including: the seats have been moved back 12 inches to make room for us big fellows. “1960 Willy’s Jeep is mostly all Original, New Electric Fuel Pump, New OEM Muffler, New (4) Brake Cyl’s and Shoes, Recent Oil Change w / Synthetic Oil. Speedometer not working (mileage unknown). It has had a valve job in 1989. I installed two 3 Point Safety Belts, Turn Signal Switch, and Drivers side electric windshield wiper. The top is a makeshift top I constructed just to keep the rain and snow off but needs to be upgraded. I am asking 7200.00 OBO .
I purchased this Jeep last year and I am the second owner.
I am selling it because I am 74 yo and it is difficult for me to get in and out of it. Also I am a large man and I am not comfortable driving it.
I just returned from Moab Ut. and the Jeep is still on the trailer.”

(01/28/2018) “CJ5 body. Doors and windows work. OHV 4cyl Engine runs fine and has great oil pressure. Fuel pump needs seal. Needs clutch and brakes done. Hard top needs some attention. All the drive shafts and levers for pto and differential are working. Front winch needs engagement lever. Starter works good. Coil and points good. Body and fenders not great. Frame is decent.
Have some spare transmissions and differentials.
Spare hard top for cj5 don’t know what year.
Needs some love. Not interested in parting it out. I know it has some rare items and they work. Enough to restore or use for parts. 1500$ firm.
Has some minor mods. Looks promising.

“Recently acquired but don’t have the time to mess with it. Last on the road in 1969. The previous owner had started restoration but did not finish it. I was told the motor has been rebuilt however I am unable to verify. It appears to be mostly complete but it’s best to come and look for yourself.
