“Mostly original 1959 Willys CJ-6. Long-wheelbase CJ-5. Odometer reads 40,210 and just may be correct – I’m not sure. I bought earlier this year as non-running project from the family of the previous owner after he passed away. Didn’t get much paperwork or receipts but he seemed to have put a lot of care and good work into it. I’ve put a lot of time and money into it since. I have other projects and need to make room, but not desperate to sell. Here’s what I did and vehicle’s current state: Continue reading
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $5000
“The Willy’s CJ6 is a rare Jeep with the extended wheel base 20 inches longer than a CJ5. This is a tribute vehicle meant to look like a military vehicle. I just recently had the head machined and new head gasket, new leaf springs on all four corners, oil and filter, new coolant. front and rear differentials drained and refilled. It has military 16” wheels and nearly brand new 7.50×16 tires. Spare tire and gas can sit inside. Drives great, just like an old Jeep should. Comes with a clean title, original 1960 owners manual and original equipment steering wheel. Call me for an appointment to check it out. Trades considered up or down in value even a project. I would consider selling just the hard top which is for a CJ5.“
It appears worth a look.
“New tires, brakes, wheel cylinders, wiring & mirrors. New Front fenders, shocks & steering.
Leather seats, body solid with no rust. Reconditioned radiator, soft top with new soft top doors.
PTO winch. 3 speed transmission, lots of spare parts, needs to be finished.”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $5000
(12/08/2015) Can’t see a whole lot from the pic.
“Up for sale or trade is a VERY rare Jeep CJ6. For those of you unfamiliar with this model; the CJ6 is a rare elongated, or stretched, CJ5 (Almost a small pickup bed behind the seats!) Her Buick Dauntless V6 runs and drives and has just under 35k original miles!!!! She is by no means perfect though. She will need some electrical work to be road worthy (indicators and brake lights need work), some DEFINATE body work (holes in driver and passenger floor pans, small dents, needs new paint, etc), and a rebuild/tune on the carb. This list is a minimum. Please don’t come expecting a perfect Jeep…as there is no such thing. She will need a labor of love, but one lap around my property with the wind in your hair, shifting old clunky gears, and the classic old school smell of unburned gas coming from the exhaust, and you’ll be hooked.
Has an old school steel hard top and doors, but the top is pretty beat up. My plan is to rhinoline the entire body and run it around old town FoCo and up the Poudre Canyon with the top, and doors, off this summer.
I am by no means desperate to sell her. I’m working on her bit by bit, but free time is a hard thing to come by these days. Looking for something turn key and ready to hit the road. Possibly another Jeep, hotrod, cruiser, ATV, UTV, enclosed trailer, camper? Sky’s the limit; what ya got?”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $3200.
Includes an overdrive.
“1960 cj willy jeep its an old military, has had a small block 327 v8 installed runs good, may need some carb work but will drive”

“I have a 1970 jeep cj6 for sale. She runs great but needs some work. Would make a great hunting jeep (that’s what this one was used for) or just tooling around in the woods. I’m asking 2000 but will trade for other old cars or jeeps. I’ll add the difference in cash if needed.”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $3900

“1974 cj6 jeep. Runs great. Has …….
Spring over lift
304 v8 5.0L
Dual exhaust
Marine sterio
37″ toto a/t tires like new still
3 speed manual transmission
I only used off road. not advertising this for a daily driver. Been a great jeep to me. Only selling cause I am building a swamp buggy. Only trades I will consider is a Chevy 4×4 3/4 or 1 ton chassis or whole truck. Running or not. Doesn’t matter. Yes it has rust and scratches and dents. It’s an original 1974 jeep. Available to look at on Friday Saturday Sunday’s. ”

“Complete body/tub for 1965 Willys Jeep CJ6. No rust, been stored inside for the last 20 years. Includes tub, tailgate, windshield frame (needs new glass), fenders, hood, grill and radiator, underseat gas tank, original seat frames, and some misc parts. Saved as a back burner project for years and just want the garage space back now. Tub isn’t perfect, needs transmission hump front floor work, but is completely rust free and solid. Good replacement body if you happen to have a cj6 or if you want to build a long wheel base jeep (20″ longer than cj5).”
Has no engine.
“Big jeep has no motor. has title
Chevy runs good. No title.
Big jeep has 10 and 12 bolt axles Turbo hydromatic trans, new process transfer case.”
UPDATE: Price dropped to **SOLD** Was $300
“This is a 1961 Willys Jeep CJ6, serial number 19428 which puts it at early ’61. Most recent pictures are the ones with the yellow rims with the winch and grille removed. The Ramsey PTO winch system is listed separately under auto parts for $500. This Jeep has some accessories:
Selectro lockout hubs
Isarmatic Lift Control plow pump
Heavy duty tow bar
The frame is in solid condition and most definitively usable for a project. Both the axles spin easy, as well as the transfercase levers. I checked the engine oil and it’s clean, no metal or water. This is similar to a Jeep CJ5 or CJ7.
Feel free to call or text me with the information up top any time. If I don’t answer I’ll call back shortly after, and reachable by text all day.“
