This is NOT a show truck, it was built to be driven and used – it is however, extremely rare and very cool.
I do not drive the truck anywhere near enough to justify continuing to own it, and am turning my focus toward heavy equipment for other projects.
No trades, and the ATT tracks are not included in the $20K price. Well over $40,000 invested in building the truck- all custom built by Roam Automotive in Munising.
I don’t have to sell, I won’t give it away. If you’re serious about owning a true one-of-a-kind promotional rig, email me via C/L.”

“Very unique Jeep. 26k original miles. Great shape for its age. Currently does not run, there is hole in the gas tank and the carb is off and it doesn’t have a battery. But if you hook it up to a battery it will turn over, hurricane 6 cyclinder. Not for sure, but I believe this rig was originally a fire truck. Title in hand. ‘

Needs some work, but looks pretty solid.
“This is a 1965 Jeep FC 170. It is complete and in need of a total restoration. It has original mileage of 26,000. It has always been a farm/ranch vehicle and used to haul grapes to the packing house. As you can see it has the original seats and all gauges. I started working on it and found that i’m not going to have the time to get it up and going. So i’m offering it for sale. It has some rust in the back bed and the drivers floor but most everything else looks good. I tock quite a few pictures, but if you would like another view please let me know. I rebuilt the carburetor and found it very clean.
I was told it has been sitting for approximately 25/30 years. They broke the shifting lever on the outside of the transmission case and just parked it. A spare case and part will come with vehicle. They had two so this one just sat until know. It rolled onto the trailer fine, but the brakes will need to be gone through. Again, this is a complete original farm vehicle with the original mileage. It will need a good home. Comes with original shop manual. I have only a bill os sale and past registration form, but getting a title and keeping the black plates should not be an issue. There wasn’t a place to put bill of sale in title location so I put clear as there are no liens or any type.”
UPDATE: Back up for sale.
“1957 Jeep FC 170, frame and bed were shortened years ago, I’ve got it running, driving and stopping however it’s not really road worthy yet, tires are dry rotted and the carb could really use a rebuild, clean title”
Unclear if it runs or not.
“Jeep 1961 willy Fc-170 control 4wheel drive standard v8 project complete body missing front bumber long bed title clean”
UPDATE:**SOLD** Was $4700
(04/19/2017) Runs, is a bit rough.
“This truck is originally from Nebraska. It has a 3-speed transmission with the hurricane 6 cylinder that smokes pretty bad when it warms up. It runs good and seems to stay cool.I have run it for 20 plus mins at a time. It has a electric fuel pump. It was a farm truck most of it’s life. It has plenty of dents and dings. The paint job is very amateur. It looks like it was applied with a roller and paintbrush and a Wagner power sprayer. It has Bondo that is unfinished. More in some places then needed and less in other places were needed. Not to bad from ten feet. The Bed Floor was replaced with a sheet of metal. The tires are dry rotted. It also has a hard ball size Bondo spots in each cab corner. And had one patch put in the driver’s floor.
UPDATE: Status Unknown. Was $4500.
Needs an engine.
“Fc truck needs engine it does not have one in it”
Larry spotted this FC-170. He writes, “We are vacationing in Sedona. There are newer jeeps and jeep tours all over the place so we took one. As we were coming over the hill, there she was, an Fc170 tow truck. It was totally redone and beautiful. The kid in the shop had no idea what it was (some kinda jeep thing). It wasn’t for sale but it was great to see”.
Those familiar with this wrecker recognize it as Wayne Trent’s former FC. You can see some video of it here.
And here’s my photo of it from one of the FC-Roundups in Phoenix.
Glenn forwarded this one.
