“1943 Ford GPW 1/4 ton military (jeep). Ford body, frame, and engine. L134 flathead Ford engine has been recently rebuilt by certified shop specializing in WWII military vehicles. The engine was balanced during the rebuild process. The gearbox, clutch, and drivetrain was rebuilt. New electrical system. New tires. New brakes. New steering arms / knuckles. New cooling system rebuild. New gauges. Over $13,000 USD was spent in the rebuilding process. The body was left unmolested because this jeep is famous…This jeep was used in the following films: Pearl Harbor, Windtalkers, Flags of our Fathers, Letters from Iwo Jima. The film history is documented. This is a special surviving jeep that is real, not a fake one with a fiberglass body and parts from older model jeeps or from Asia. This is not a trailer queen and can be started and driven with no problems.”

There are some mb/gpw parts, but the body is fiberglass.

This looks like it was stretched.
“For your consideration, 1942 army jeep made by Ford motor company. 4 cylinder Willy ‘s flathead with recent overhaul. New battery/ starts & runs great. New army seats & gas tank to install- has aluminum tank in rear bed now. Five nice tires, minimal rust. Previous owner applied some bondo over good metal. Master cylinder has been removed. I’ve cleaned it & it appears ready to re-install. Rebuild kit is only $20. Also, previous owner said brakes & hubs are in good shape. Transfer case (4 wheel drive) operates quietly. O.E.M. Gas Tank & Seats are worth $1,000.00. I’m NOT a mechanic, ready to bail out at a loss. First $2,500.00.”
Eric bought this DJ-3A in July of 2013. He describes the jeep he bought as a salad of jeep parts. He’s spent the last year transforming this rough jeep into a great looking parade and play jeep. Nice save!

Body work is almost complete and needs accessories such as seat cushions, bows, etc. Other than that it is mostly complete. All the hard work has been done for you. “1942 Ford GPW restomod project for sale. All power train and drive train has been rebuilt or replaced or upgraded. Runs and drives and stops. Rancho springs, conferr shackles, body lift, 31″ tires. Saginaw steering and upgraded front and rear crossmembers. Warn premium hubs. Original grille, hood, and dash. Original data plates with matching frame serial number. Fiberglass tub and fenders. New windshield and frame. New bestop tigertop. Fuel cell. Needs some minor electrical and body work and making sure everything is torqued. Engine is a rebuilt MB engine. New T90 trans. Rebuilt transfer case and axles. 11″ drum brakes. 12v conversion. New Optima red top. Reman carb, painless wiring harness. I’m not in a hurry to sell, i just don’t have time to work on it now and could use the space. I have too many projects and need to consolidate. (04/29/2014) This has an old school feel. This may be a MB or GPW body/chassis. Note the hubs on the rear. What’s really interesting is the reshaped entrances for drive and passenger. It’s well done and gives the jeep a slightly different look.
“Bought this Willys to restore but have decided it is too much of a project for me. It is either a 2A or 3A (year and model unknown since no identification on body or frame and no title). It has a modified body, roll cage, frame and axles. Has a raised hood with one rust spot and lots of bondo (probably part of conversion to V8) and modified steering.
I installed used tires since the pictures were taken so I can roll it around. It can be used for parts or rebuilt. Looks like it had a Chevy v8 in it at one time. It has surface rust but metal seems solid (several holes have been cut into the floor and inner front fender wells for unknown reasons).
You may notice the rear axle is really a front axle installed in reverse (reason unknown) and pictures also show a Dana 18 transfer case (it has a hole in the side so case is not useable).
It appears to have re-arched springs to give it a 2-3 inch lift.
Asking $450 with wheels and tires (tires have minimum tread) or $350 without wheels and tires.Jeep is located in Helendale. I can deliver within local area (for a price) if necessary. No title, bill of sale only.

“I have a body that came off a Ford WW2 Jeep. Someone cut the rear panel for a tailgate. It has minor rusts issues on the floor, but it’s actually pretty solid for being 70+ years old. The sump is missing and a homemade glovebox was added over the original one.
Based on my research, this is actually a Ford “Script” tub , despite the missing Ford script rear panel.

The numbers match and body sequence is correct. The Jeep was manufactured in Ford’s Louisville plant in May 1945 and believed to have been used at Cory Navel Base in Pensacola and later sold to the West Virginia Highway Dept.”
