Listed as a CJ-2A, it looks like an MB. Looks in good shape.
“Cool Restoration project for the right person. Need to sell wife got sick. ”
Has some rust.
“1945 mb military jeep.body is good, with some repairable rust in the body, gas tank well is rusted out.It has a later cj or mc engine. The engine has not run in 4 years but is free and has good compression. It has a thin skim of bondo and the paint and bondo are peeling off.which makes it look bad.It has the correct T84 transmission and transfer case. the rear panel is in good shape.I have the correct clear nc title for this Jeep.”
Jason is selling his 1943 MB. It is mechanically sound, with an older restoration and replacement tub. It needs final accessories and correct drab green paint to complete restoration. You can contact Jason here: Jason.smith5@verizon.net or 941-799-1019.
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $15,000
(12/07/2014) LOTS of updates.
“1942 Willys-Overland – $22,000
Plain and Simple: You will not find one as clean and mechanically sound as this one. 50 caliber gun mount still there. Fully street legal and fully tagged, ready for anything you want to throw at it. Customized for Off Road, however drives great on road. Virtually every mechanical part is brand new. I have invested approximately $30,000 of which I have all the receipts for. Work was either professionally performed or brand new mechanical parts meticulously installed with new gaskets and proper torque settings. Looks great in pictures and even better in person. I am selling because I don’t have the time to use it and it is taking up needed space in garage. Stored in garage every day since ownership. It has been on the Rubicon Trail 3 times with ease, never sustaining any damage, getting stuck, or need for winch. Below is a sample of the upgrades/mods that were performed:
UPDATE: Price dropped to $2850.
(06/03/2015) That is one of the more unusual dashes I’ve ever seen.

“For sale is a 1942 Willys Jeep MB GPW military in the custom project phase so you can build it into anything you’d like at this point whether it be strictly for shows or a full on rock crawler. It was an original ’42 F script Willys years ago but the body was rusted beyond saving so a handmade full steel custom body was built to completely replace the original.
Still has original fenders, grill, windshield frame and cowl. Original frame has been completely boxed and is set up to run a small block Chevy drivetrain set up with solid axles with leaf spring suspension. It was running with a 350/4 speed and original 4 wheel drive parts in the early 90’s but all has since been removed and sold when I started rebuilding the body.
NO ENGINE/TRANSMISSION/T-CASE INCLUDED.
UPDATE: I am surprised this is still available.
Shouldn’t last long.
“Mostly original. In my family for many years. Motor is very strong, body needs tlc. $3500 obo.”
There might be some value here.
“1943 willys jeep. 4 cylinder manual transmission with 4 wheel drive. Pink slip in hand. Starts and stops but needs a lot of work. Rust everywhere. Previous owner diamond plated over rust but still needs a lot of body work. Newer fuel tank. I have been told by some that this willys is a civilian model not a military model. Has tow bar for and a fold down front window. Asking 1600 obo.”
I felt this ad was worth a comment. New Body Tub?? Huh?? Excellent condition?? What about those fenders??
“Excellent condition body, interior and mechanically. New body tub, wheels and tires (5K in tub and wheels). 1600cc SOHC Ford engine. New instrument panel as well as all steering components. Roll bar, seat belts and new top.”
UPDATE: Pic provided. LIsted as a 2A, it is an MB/GPW.

UPDATE: **SOLD** Was Highest offer gets the jeep.
“It breaks my heart to put this war Jeep up for sale. This old girl went over there and was loved so much they sent her back. She still retains a rebuild tag on the transfer case. It shows it was rebuilt by the ordinance corps in Japan. (see pics) This is a true barn find. Owned by the same family since the 50’s and stayed on a ranch in Montrose, Co. (High desert climate, so very little rust) Still has many of it’s original features as you can see in the pictures, including it’s olive drab steering wheel! Currently is running, driving and stopping. Has new brake and fuel systems. However the tires are pretty weather checked. They hold air and would be fine for trailering.
She currently has an overhead valve engine. I have the flathead engine that came with the Jeep (disassembled, of course) that I will include in the sale. Body is solid with a couple of small rust spots (see pics) frame is rock solid. I have posted a lot of pictures and have many more upon request. Email me with your phone number and WAR JEEP in the subject line. All others will be deleted due to spamming. I will happily return all calls and answer any questions. I am only selling due to an illness in the family. This does not mean I will take any low ball or just plain silly offers. Only Email if you’re serious, already have the money, and permission from your wife. I would like to sell this week to the highest bidder! Do not NEED to sell this week. Shipping is the responsibility of the buyer. Cash sale only. Will assist with loading.”
Listed as a 1953, it’s more like a rough MB.
“1953 Willy’s Army Jeep with the original 1953 Willy’s engine, VIN#426445. unknown miles. $4,495or best offer. I’ve replaced the brake lines, wheel cynlinders and brakes, clutch and pressure plate, the ring gear on the fly wheel and the starter. It ran fine the last time I used it which was several years back. I’m selling it as is. These jeeps have a lot of potential and you could easily make it into a $15,000 jeep. There’s an army serial number on the right front hood that’s hard to read after 62 years. The numbers on the hood are original and as far as we can tell they are _0_08659. ”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $3000
Clearly has some updates.
“I have a 1943 flat fender jeep, not street legal, 350 chevy, turbo 400 automatic, blazer running gear,”

“1944 Willy’s Jeep. Body in fair condition drive train in excellent condition, runs great it does have a Chevy Iron Duke 4 cylinder engine, which is a common replacement for the flat head 4 cylinder engine that it came with and is easier to get parts. It is Titled and ready to up on the Mesa Monument or where ever you take it. This Jeep is a Military Jeep and is not geared for highway driving. Reasonable offers will be considered.”

This has some odd mods.
“This Jeep is being sold for parts. It was bought for parts to fix another older jeep but this one has had some custom modifications from the past owner who used it as a farm vehicle. It has a V-6 and a manual three speed transmission with 4WD. The differentials and transmission would be excellent for off road builds. This jeep is being sold as is and in one piece. It does not have tires so the buyer is responsible for loading and transporting the Jeep. I am ready to get rid of this jeep so the price could be negotiated.”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $7000.

It looks like someone added a draw bar to the rear of the jeep.
“A great example of the 1942 Willy’s WW2 Jeep in excellent condition. 4 owners.”
Has an F-head, not an L-head. Listed as a CJ-2A, it looks more like an MB/GPW.
“1945 jeep was running when parked….30 years ago! has an L head 4 cyl., witch is a bit larger than the original. thus the hole in the hood for the air cleaner. 1,450 OBO ask for John”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $3000
Listed as a 1946 CJ-2A, it looks more like an MB with a CJ front clip.
“New: Carb, gas tank, oil pan gasket, fuel pump, ignition parts. other brake parts.
This is considered a collectors item in many circles.
I had it running and driving but I ran out of time and money. It will need to be transported out but it rolls easily. All of the tires hold air. The only thing it needs to run is to re-install the oil filter and oil lines. It is an easy fix. When running, it smoked a little, but that is expected from a 68 year old vehicle. I have a title for it and a paper trail. It has been bought and sold a few times without the title being changed over.
This is an excellent vehicle to drive and restore at the same time. There are many parts available for it and it’s easy to work on. Own a piece of history!”
No pics provided.
“1943 Willy’s jeep runs and drives great has new tires an brand new exhaust system if interested please contact me.”

Body tub with brackets that are bolted to it, and the original Gages minus the speedo
Front fenders, good usable condition, need new braces welded in
Hood, again good usable condition except the rear most bracket needs repair
Both drivers and passengers seats are included. The passengers seat is perfect. Drivers seat has some rust that’s needs repair on the seat bottom only.
This customized jeep appears to have an WWII chassis.
