Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. “Selling one pair or Warn Summer Hubs for Willys Jeep. In case you do not know, these are a period accessory for the four wheel drive to disconnect the axle shafts at the hubs. They bolt on in place of the drive flanges. Selectable hubs have since replaced them.
They are virtually bang and nick free and do not have too much marring in the area where the bolt lock washers go. It looks as if they were bolted on once or so. They could be polished up to look new again in no time. They have the bearings in the back side but no original box. They are on a board of some sort with wood dowels to keep them placed. I am not sure if that is original to them.”

Rare Vic Hickey head for sale.
“From off road pioneer Vic Hickey, very rare high compression finned aluminum head for 1939 and up Willys L134 engine – Kaiser, Jeep/Jeepster/Henry J./Allstate. This has one enlarged plug hole and needs a threaded insert but is otherwise in fine original shape with minimal sign of electrolysis around water neck flange but very clean head surface and combustion chambers – absolutely usable as is. This is a very rare period performance upgrade for your Willys L134 powered pride and joy. I have not seen a Hickey head for sale in many, many years. Do not miss this one!”

Mike has these parts left over from a project he just completed.

Parts include: two 6V windshield wiper motors, M151 speedo meter gear kit (new), steering wheel, air cleaner passover tube, fan belt pulleys, 6V cigarette lighter, distributor for 225/231 6 cylinder Buick engine with wires, 2 distributor caps, speedometer gear, flywheel, hood clamps, ammeters,fuel gauge(6V and 12V),12V Accel coil, brake cylinder (needs rebuilt), other misc stuff also.

The hubs include a storage box.
“These vintage 1950s WARN hubs are used to convert jeeps and other Willys vehicles from full-time four wheel drive to two wheel drive by replacing the grooved 4WD hub with a non-grooved hub. An integral needle bearing and a separate bushing support the splined axle end in the non-grooved hub.
They are called “summer” hubs because owners would remove the early full-time 4WD hubs from their vehicles during the summer when 4WD was not required, to increase gas mileage, and to reduce wear on tires and drive train parts. They are also attractive with the “waffle” pattern and script “Warn” on each shiny aluminum hub.
