Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. UPDATE: Colin discovered that Switzerland of America Jeep Tours Company still exists and still rents jeeps or offers tours. Check out their website and their tour vehicles: http://soajeep.com You’ll recognize some of the photos on the website from Craig’s recent adventure.

“For The Collector We Feature This Unused Standard Size Vintage Chrome Postcard Showing Jeep Drawn Vehicle, Fantasic Caverns in Springfield, Missouri. Back of card reads: FANTASTIC CAVERNS, the only cave that is large enough and level enough to drive through. You can see this cavern from the comfortable seats in a jeep drawn vehicle. Old postcard does have some corner/edge wear.”

UPDATE: Here is more information about the Jeep Train at St. Simons Island.
“Here is a vintage linen postcard from the late 1940s or early 1950s, featuring a historic view of the Jeep Train, formerly known as the Mule Train, transporting tourists at St. Simons Island, Georgia. This is a Colourpicture postcard (#K7993.) It has never been mailed and is in very good to excellent condition with minor edge and corner wear. This vintage St. Simons Island, Georgia linen postcard will be carefully shipped to you in protective packaging.”
I knew nothing about QSL Cards. Turns out there are a variety of collectors and a variety of cards to collect, including some with jeeps. Here are a few.

Here’s are three postcards with jeeps by Sgt Dave Breger at postcard collectors.
On the left the caption reads, “I would hafta deliver a message to the Colonel when his orderly is sick”. On the right it reads, “‘Should bars! Get your lieutenant’s shoulder bars here.'”
At the bottom of this card it reads “He wants to ride in front. He’s getting carsick back here.”
From the postcardcollectors website comes this car.
According to the website, “This card is about the Giant Ocotillo Cactus that “grow profusely in the Southern California and Arizona Deserts.” It is a “Union Pacific Railroad Color Photo” but doesn’t seem to be a Union Pacific card.”
