The seller now believes this is a Maverick, but I don’t have enough experice with these to know for sure. It sounds like this vehicle has been in storage for a while. It might be in good shape for an eastern wagon.

Congrats to Or who spotted some information from a “Kaizer-Ilin Industrys Ltd” marketing document at the Israel Cars forum. He and I have both searched for any official piece of evidence that the vehicles we were seeing were really produced and this represents the first step in that process. We still don’t know how many were produced, nor how many years they were produced, nor in how many countries they were produced (though they have appeared in both Israel and the US).
The document below is from 1963. Or translates it the following way:

3. Compact Tender

Moreover, Or spoke with some of the folks at the Israel Cars forum and discovered that the Compact Tender is built on the Panel/Wagon frame (104.5″ wheelbase) rather than the long pickup frame (118″ wheelbase).

Or, a reader from Israel, has been trying to locate more information (especially the model number) about the Compact Willys Truck I have temporarily labeled a Tender. While doing that research, he spotted a brief clip of some Willys Wagons, Trucks and the Kaizer-Ilin plant in Israel (but no Compact Willys Trucks visible).
Look at minute mark 4.22 through 4.43.

I’m gonna guess this is an early 50s Wagon given the flathead inline 6 cyl.

The price is a bit high for a non runner; however, this this appears to be a good restoration candidate.

“1955 Willys Wagon – Flathead 226 Super Hurricane Motor. 3 speed manual transmission with overdrive. 3″ body lift. Runs well and is in good shape. Some minor rust but nothing major. Clutch was recently replaced. Looks good but is far from a show car.”

The rear has rust, but the front looks nice. It runs and has a Warn OD.

How about that paint job? It will need wipers and mufflers. It has an updated drive train.

Truck has a few minor things wrong, needs new wiper blades and new wiper motor not expensive, also does not have original engine but runs on a 1980 gm 231 v6 rwd and is linked to a turbo 350 auto 3 spd tranny. truck runs and drives great has no power steering of course due to age and no seat belts so is not recomended for a new or unexperienced driver. truck has great frame, tires, suspension and all hardware. original wood floors in rear, passenger door only opens from inside but is an easy fix. truck only needs glasspacks for exhaust and wiper blades/wiper motor to pass inspection. this willys is a dealer modify which means that in 1952 when shipped to the dealer it had no windows in the side but had them installed at the dealer in 52 also has the double swing doors in rear a rare option only offered on panel wagons if interested or want to see/drive please call at 814-367-2172 or email at steven_foster69 @hotmail.com ask for steve”

Here’s a nicely modified wagon on a Blazer Chassis.

I’m not quite sure how, but I stumbled upon this pink wagon from the Haxadecimal.com site which was listed on ebay in 2006. This is one of a wide variety of unusual vehicles you can find at that site.
