(01/31/2024) Matt’s selling this running project that has some updates.

“We’ve decided to sell our cool 1961 Jeep FJ-3A Fleetvan. It does run as you can see in the video. It is left hand drive not the postal right hand drive. It’s had a motor and transmission swap. It’s got a 4.3 liter throttle bodied injected Chevy engine V6. It will need metal work on the interior and exterior. And one of the windows is broken. Great vehicle for marketing or your mobile business. Message via Facebook to set up a time to see it in person. Located at my shop in Midlothian, TX”
Unclear how much value is here.

“1946 Jeep CJ2A. Classic Jeep. Engine runs. New carb, fuel pump & filter and gas tank. Project started last year owner having medical issues unable to complete. Pictures were taken prior to tear down. Reasonable offers”
Before tear-down.
Thanks to Matt for sharing this document. This 16-page September 1947 issue of WO Sales News begins by announcing the addition of the “step” on CJ-2As. In an older comment by Bill Norris, “According to the 49 parts manual they [the steps] were available on 2As after serial number 129806”. This seems in relative accordance with the timing of the article.
The next story introduces the Laurel C. Worman hardtops, followed by another introduction, the Jeep-A-Trench.
On page six is an interesting story about a caravan of wagons that brought television to smaller towns across the country. To that point, television was only available to areas within a fifty mile radius of a large tower. When the jeep caravan arrived in towns, it offered twice-daily shows via a portable studio setup.
On page eight is a discussion of how to arrange and display jeeps. There are many car museums that could benefit from these insights! I’m not much of a fan of “parking lot” style museums.
The remainder of the pages discuss dealer info, marketing, testimonials, and other highlights.l
The Comvec-Connecticut Military Vehicle Collectors Club will be holding its annual military vehicle show and flea market June 15, 2024.
I tried to find out more information about Richard Schweers, but had no luck linking a person with this name to military service.

“This is an original press photo. Pfc Richard Schweers uses field radio in Army jeep. Photo measures 10 x 8.25 inches. Photo is dated”
I’m not familiar with this movie, but if you collect jeep posters, this is probably a hard one to find.

“47 Willy’s, on 69 cj frame w Buick v6. 4 speed manual transmission 4 wheel drive. New tie rods . Does run but I haven’t started it in years. So it needs some minor tlc. The doors and rear cargo shelf give this CJ-5 an unusual look.

“Up for sale is a 1942 Ford GPW matching numbers Jeep. Has a rebuildable GPW matching number engine, original data plates, some original gauges. This GPW is a nice candidate for a truly rare matching numbers restoration. Any questions feel free to ask.$6000”
Not sure how much value is here.

“Lots of Jeep flat fender parts body’s frames axle’s transmissions all the stuff to run a Chevy 350 to stock trans and t case asking 4,000 obo for everything one clean title for the primer Jeep tub also open to trades”
Listed as a military 1946, the serial number shown is a very late 1947, though neither plates shown appear original. The tub may be a patched WWII tub. The chassis is from a CJ based on the PTO bar.

“1946 WW2 Willys jeep. The military version of the CJ2-A. Has front disc brake conversion, later model Go Devil 4cyl engine, brand new winch and led pods on front, aftermarket heater, Rhino liner inside and out. Runs but needs some carb adjustment because the mechanical fuel pump went out so I converted it to electric fuel pump. Needs new master cylinder (have new one in the box with 2 new front brake lines) looking to trade for later model jeep with a back seat, 4wd truck, big boy toys, pre smog, classic cars or trucks just lmk what you have to trade.”
This is a project or parts.

(11/28/2023) Andy shared this FC-170 with a dump bed.
https://www.facebook.com/marketplace/item/368656992247067/
“1961 Jeep FC-170 90% complete . Hurricane I6 , 3speed manual, dump bed, and snow plow frame. Had it running and drove it around the yard about 4 years ago. Body is better than most, glass is good other than the door glass is cracked.”
Not sure how much value is here. It doesn’t look military. I’m guessing CJ-3A (lacks from frame horns).

“1940’s willys military jeep.”
