Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. “1944 jeep willys cj2a mb. Oddfire 225 motor, T90 trans and Dana 18 transfercase. Toyota running gear. Trans and t-case need gone through. Engine runs but it’s been sitting awhile. I have driven it but it needs work. New tilt steering column and billet wheel. New steering linkage. I have new front frame horns, spring perches and odds and ends. Jeep is solid small amounts of rust and body work. It is a good start to a project. Clear title in hand. Don’t need to sell it so price is firm. Willing to trade for some cool. “1942 Willys Ford Script GPW (General Purpose Willys) If you know Willys you know this one is rare and hard to come by! It was only made the first few months of 1942. I’m not an expert but it does have the Willy’s Grill and possibly a Ford stamped Willys frame. The engine is not original but starts and runs perfect. I think it is an early fifties F-head. Starts runs and drives great, 4×4 works and the tires are in Nice condition. Like most Willys 70 plus years old it has had modifications including a fuel cell and selecto hubs. The Body and Frame seem to be original and mostly unmolested. It has a few minor oil leaks but you can drive it down the road today! Clear Montana title in hand. If it were original it would be a $40,000 rig unfortunately those are very hard to come by! I believe the price is fair at $6,800 but will consider serious offers”

“All original Korean War Era 4×4 Jeep. Mechanically sound and no rust through anywhere ( some surface peel ). Runs like a top.
Two sets of tires and wheels, full curtains including radiator quilt, canvas seat covers and 2 new 12Volt batteries.
This rare original has seen minimal use. It appears to have been an officer’s jeep because it has a heater. Markings include “82 AB” and “HQ” on front bumper. Jerry can on the back.
Can be seen by appointment. Call with any questions. No long emails, texts. Not interested in any low ball offers and no help needed in selling. Garage kept and as good as you will find for its age.”

“Moving and do not have room at the new place in Florida. It’s all original, and I have bought A LOT of replacement parts from Kaiser Willys (steering wheel, all window seals/tracks, original size tires, light fixtures, and a $500 braided wiring harness for the entire vehicle, etc). It has the original Super Hurricane 6-226 engine. I removed the seats and oak floor slats, everything is there ready for restoration/reassembly. There is some rust, but she’s 60 years old! It was running prior to me removing all of the old wires/replacing the tires with original size.”

“For sale is a hard top that would fit a Willys CJ3A, CJ2A, CJ3B. It came off of a CJ3A. It is made of steel sheet metal. It does not look aftermarket, but was professionally made by a company that owned the jeep in the 60s called S&S Oil in Auburn Indiana. The whole top is in good condition other than the windows on the doors. Give me a call or text if your interested. This is a one of a kind top.”

“Willis Jeep for restore or parts. Not knowledgeable enough to tell you model or year of jeep just guessing about 1942. Listed it last year for sale and too many jeep enthusiasts convinced me to keep it and restore it like I had always wanted to. I appreciated their encouragement and well wishes but a year has passed and it sits in the same spot.
Since my chickens sit in it more than I do I figured it must go. It may only be good for parts now.
I do not have the time to commit to the project and hope someone that does will want to tackle this one. I do not know where the title is for it. I bought it from overseas. Asking $2500 OBO.”

“I’ve owned it for 15 years and other than replacing all of the brake lines and putting new tires on it haven’t gotten around to working on it. Used it for a few years to plow my driveway. It was running when I parked about 12 years ago.
It’s a complete vehicle with a hard top.
Also available are new floor panels for the front and rear ($800+) and a 6′ plow that has been sandblasted and repainted.”

Original F head Hurricane engine runs and can maintain an idle and sounds solid. The brakes are all there but will need some work. The clutch, transmission and transfer case all seem fully functional.
Rare Willys full hard top with hard doors and roll up windows.
The tub has significant rust throughout.”

“1948 CJ 2 A for sale. Titled at a 48 but has older body. Was told it is mid-40s. Has 4-134 flat head engine. 4 wheel drive. In low low this thing will go through anything. New Solex carburetor, fuel pump, fuel regulator and HEI distributor. Runs and drives. Great restoration project. I have too many projects going and need to sell this one.”

(05/13/2015) “1946 Jeep Willy’s CJ2-A. It has a 327 Chevrolet under the hood with full sized axles. 3:73 gearing front and rear. Full roll bar. 5 ppint harnesses in racing seats. It’s not perfect but it is an awesome ride. 85% tread on 33″ BF mud terrain tires, including a spare that is 100% tread. Motor is strong and runs great. I hate to get rid of it but I am moving across the country and can’t afford to bring it with. 4,000 OBO..”

Rob’s got this truck for sale.
“1961 Willys pickup. Runs and drives. I have just overhauled the brakes on all 4 wheels: new drums, shoes, springs, adjusting hardware and wheel cylinders. I have a new master cylinder but am sick of laying in the dirt to work on this truck. Installed 4 new front wheel bearings and new front spindle lock washers & nuts. All new wheel lugs and lug nuts. Changed the left side to right hand threads. Previous owner installed split windshield. This year vehicle does not need a title in Vermont.”

The good news is that the trailer isn’t a rust bucket and can be used as is. However, a tree dropped on one side damaging it.
