Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. “For sale is our 1953 CJ3A Willys Jeep. It is currently registered non operable but the registration has been kept current. A Buck 231 V6 conversion was done back in the 80’s but the conversion was never fully completed. It was driven after the conversion but only a few hundred miles. The Buick v6 and transmission were rebuilt during the conversion. The brakes were upgraded to 10″ brakes and a Warn overdrive was also added. The Willys was also painted yellow at that time. Note, the windshield assembly came from a CJ2A. This Willys has been stored covered or indoors since the 80’s. This is a great Willys Jeep for someone looking for a restoration project. The body is in very good condition. The vehicle currently is not running (I haven’t tried). Looking for a good new home.

Dual rear wheel adapters and metal fender extensions. Previously this Willys had dual wheels installed.
Koenig metal top with door and artic gas heater (was functional back in 1978) with chimney also available. This would probably only be interesting to a collector.”

“Solid running driving 1950 cj3-a jeep willys. Its been a good runner and a real head turner. Similar to the military m38. Three speed with 4 wheel drive and hi lo gears. Newer engine out of the next gerneration of willy jeep. Its got the over head valve instead of the flat 4. All new OEM style gauges that all work. Ive got a good set of spares including another willys stamped hood with out a cutout. The jeep took 1st place peoples choice at the GVACAS car show this year. “1958 Jeep DJ-3A. This is a left hand steer, two wheel drive variant of the flat fender CJ-3A . It looks the same but is much easier and less expensive to restore than it’s four wheel drive brothers. It currently has a Toyota 20R motor and 4 speed transmission, it’s not running so I don’t know the condition of these items. Mounts and adapters are readily available to install any engine and transmission that you’d like (I have a Chevy 4.3 V6 that you could negoiate me out of). The old gal is a bit ruff but completly restorable. Tow bar included, tows smooth and easy.”

“This GPW has been garage kept and is about as rust free as you’ll find. Accompanying the Jeep is an article showing where a similar jeep was presented to Admiral Nimitz by the military at Pearl Harbor so the Jeep in the article matches this one right down the year, make, model and military number on hood. There is no way to verify this so one has to assume it is a clone to commemorate this event. Starts and runs like it should. Has a few cosmetic flaws as you can see in the pics but is mechanically sound. If you would like to make offer but will be unable to attend you may send offer via email. “Selling a real nice older restoration 1943 Willys MB jeep. It runs great and is used in parades and local car shows. I am restoring another vehicle and need the room in my shop. It has a correct original tub, WW2 engine, transmission and transfer case, correct original combat rims, and many other items. It has a clear title with it. It has been converted to 12 volts but comes with correct 6 volt generator and voltage regulator if someone wants to make it back to WW2 era specifications.”
The interior paint looks a little rough, but the outside looks good. Includes an OD.

It’s a flattie installed on a CJ-5 frame.
“The hood says it all….. “1 Bad CJ” This is a 1949 Willy’s CJ2A built on a 1969 CJ5 frame. It has an American Motors 360 V8. It has a rust free, perfectly straight body with an epoxy primer green which gives the perfect old military effect. The insignia’s are painted to look old as well. It has brand new rims, 33 x 12.5 in. BF Goodrich Tires and new chrome Hooker Side Pipes. The rims, tires and side pipes alone are well over 3K. There has been a lot of work done to this vehicle since these pictures were taken to include new taillights and the front headlight brush guards. It has a brand new wiring harness and beautiful chrome gauge set and plenty of new parts waiting to be installed. It ran great before it was parked for restoration and was actually scary powerful for this size of a vehicle. This would be worth 20K finished but I have not had the time. I love this Jeep and do not have to sell and it is too cool to accept low offers. ”
