“1948 cj2 runs great , body is rough but solid . Would make a good restoration project or hunting rig.”
UPDATE: Was $4500. Now Make Offer.
Brakes need some work.
“I have a 53 CJ3b Willys jeep. Original engine. starts and runs good. It has aftermarket air filter and fuel pump. I have the originals and are in working order. The seats are aftermarket. Tires are in good shape. This could be a nice jeep for someone that can put the time in.
The breaks could use some work and the clutch is at the end of it’s life.
Id be interested in a trade for a side x side or other reasonable trades”
Both these jeeps have an unusual hardtop. At least one of these is a 2A.

UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $3800.
Looks pretty stock. It only shows 10,000 original miles, but the odometer cable could have broken.
“I found this Old Willys Jeep in a Barn way up in the Pennsylvania Mountains from a long time family friend, it’s only got 10,000 original miles on it, 4 cylinder 4×4, good dry cab, good glass, some rust here and there, hasn’t ran in years, I may mess with it and try to start it if I get a chance, clear title, great winter project,”
UPDATE: The engine pictured in the ad was taken from a previous engine ad in Illinois. The Medford ad has been deleted. It may have been a scam. Was $200.
“Have a very nice jeep cj2a L head engine
Ran great when pulled, rebuilt about 6 years ago
I put in a small block
Everything is there as well as engine mounts
Email me if interested
I’m usually in medford or ashland during the day”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $100
Looks like a good price. Is the back piece something that could have been ordered? I’ve never seen that.
“This is a half cab or pick up conversion cab for a 1946 Willys CJ2A
It came with my Willys when I bought it and I have no use for it. I have no idea if it’s a Willys or aftermarket part, but it looks original to me. Condition is okay. Some small dents and scratches. Almost no rust on most of it except the doors. They are rusty on the bottom. The divider that goes to the floor is dented up from removal. The goofy box sides appear to be homemade and they were weldedvon so I had to cut them off, but they are not welded to the cab.”
Does not have a title.
“Body is decent for its age. I’ve been repairing rust as time allows.
Has been modified to use Chevy Motors using advanced adapters parts
Transmission has been rebuilt and new input shaft installed.
Transfer case is complete but I have a rebuild kit for it as well.
Motor mounts are marked up for a Chevy Iron Duke motor.
My last stopping place on this was working on the steering.
Comes with a bill of sale and all parts I have for it.”
No photos with this article, but it’s an odd bit of jeep news about former President Eisenhower. It was published i the December 1955 issue of Willys News.
This 1985 article in the Daytona Morning Journal shared the story of Ted Tieder, a man who began selling ice cream in 1937 and was still selling it in 1985.
This postcard shows multiple Bantam BRC-40s at the Aberdeen Proving Grounds.

This book appears to contain lots of bulletins.
“From an old dealership comes this binder of service bulletins mostly from the late 1950’s to mid 1960’s for Kaiser, Willys, Jeep…I have taken pictures of the categories covered…in well used condition, but I suspect useful to those who still have some of these antique vehicles…good luck and please check our feedback and other fine items from our home to yours.”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $10,500.
Looks in good shape.
“For sale: Jeep, 1964 Kaiser-Willys CJ-6A, Tuxedo Park Mark IV. Asking $10,500 OBO. Very rare, only 164 CJ6A’s produced in 1964. In good shape for being more than 50 years old. Runs and drives. 302 Ford V8. 3-speed, overdrive, high, low, 4WD. I just had the exhaust completely re-done with dual Magnaflow mufflers and installed a new rear bumper/tire carrier. I just had the transmission rebuilt, but it won’t go into 3rd gear. Tires are 33×12.5″ with a matching full-sized spare. I also have some extra parts I would like to go with it: CJ5 frame, original heater, 2 aftermarket heaters, and many original parts.”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $4500
(09/13/2015) It’s got a variety of updates. Needs a little work
“1942 flat fender on cj5 chassis. Corvette 327 with TH350 trans. Edelbrock performer intake with Edelbrock 750 carb. Runs great. Plenty of chrome. Newly installed B and M shift kit with quicksilver shifter. Needs seat belts, shifter cable, and a little time. Cool jeep. Serious inquiries only. Trade for boat? Commuter car?”
UPDATE: Was Make Offer, now $4500.
This looks like it has a jeep chassis. Anyone check this one out?
“runs and drives. needs brake work. taking offers since I have no idea what it’s worth.”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $3500
Looks like it might have a fire jeep front bumper (looks like it curves and is extra long).
“1947 Willys CJ2A Jeep 4X4, runs and starts great, new brakes, new seat covers (not shown in photos) tires fair to good, they will last another 10,000 miles easily. Has a Buick V6 engine so it has lots of balls, some light surface rust, NO CANCER!!! It needs some prettying up but goes, stops, does great off road. CASH ONLY and NO, I will not accept a B.S. cashiers check from China or Indonesia or wherever and then have your driver pick it up! Sorry, I was not born yesterday”
UPDATE: Still Available.
(08/22/2015) It’s an MB with a 2A body.
“This Willys is a true survivor. The id number is a MB number, but is considered a 1947 by the DMV. The tub is a MB. The jeep was modified for a film to look like a M38. The driver side has been smoothed over with bondo at some point, but the ribs for the tools can be seen on the inside.
The window is post war as well as the M38 grille. The jeep will need to be seen.
It needs tlc for sure but is a driver.
I have the window rubber, just no glass.
The engine is what I can best figure is a 1953 F-Head Hurricane engine. It has the generator, but is wound to a 12v system.
It has Model A tail lights.
The tires are new as of July 22nd. I also had Willys hand painted on the rear tailgate, as well as a personal tribute to a fallen family member, as well as a WWII Kilroy was here.
I am fixing it up as I keep driving it. If it doesn’t sell for my price, I will be fixing it up and keeping it. ”
