“1942 FORD JEEP FORD MOTOR NEEDS REDONE BUT HARD TO FIND, SOME EXTRA PARTS ASKING $1,500.”
UPDATE: **Status Unknown** Was $2200
(08/05/2015) Runs.
“Selling a 1950 cj3a with enuff spares to build another jeep. 2 titles in hand! Parts include another frame/ body with a factory hardtop, 2 transfercases, a spare rearend end, a spare front end, another black body in rough shape, motor-tranny, a good radatior and many more spares.
The cj3a pictured runs and drives. I has no brakes and smokes badly due to needing the rings replaced. All 4×4 stuff works flawlessly, rebuilt starter, carbrator, fresh oil and filter, new fuel pump. Tires all hold air and have tons of tread, body has been started to be redone, and I have original seat frames and the missing fender along with all the other parts mentioned above.
Price is obo, may be willing to trade
Reason for sale is that I bought a nice 46 cj2a, so decided to sell the rest of my jeep stuff to make room for other projects.
Price is obo, want the stuff gone sooner than later”
Last weekend Joe’s military transport club contributed thirteen vehicles to the Gilbert Days Parade in Arizona. He took pics of the jeeps and a few others. Great stuff!
Joe wrote, Here are pics of 4 military jeeps from our club (AHMTA – Arizona Historic Military Transportation Association) that drove in today’s Gilbert Days Parade. Scott David’s 1942 slat grill was in pole position, further back was my 1942 GPW, followed by Dave Boehmer’s MB with his son
manning the .30 cal, and protecting our “6” was Mike Wixom’s 1950 CJV35/U.
The weather was perfect; the vehicles all ran great; the crowds were
cheering; and we “invaded” a nearby Sonic afterward.
Staged near our 13 or so military vehicles was a collection of 6 incredible rat rods all apparently owned by, or representing “Preferred Foot & Ankle Specialists“. I don’t know anything about that business/practice but I sure liked his vehicles.
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $4500.
Seller calls the engine a flathead, but it’s an f-head.
“This jeep runs and drives good. It is equipped complete with Warn winch and soft top. This jeep still has the flat head 4cyl. engine and three speed transmission. It also has brand new Buckshot tires. Call for more info. ”
Looks solid. The transmission cover plate is loose for some reason.

Craig spotted this one. I wonder if the seller is serious about the $100 price? There’s plenty of value if that’s the case.

No caption included, but the fascinating photo tells its own story.
“1944- French patriot steadies a wounded U.S. soldier on hood of jeep as he is evacuated from battle in Coutances, France.”

“I have a 53 CJ3b Willys jeep. Original engine. starts and runs good. It has aftermarket air filter and fuel pump. I have the originals and are in working order. The seats are aftermarket. Tires are in good shape. This could be a nice jeep for someone that can put the time in.
The breaks could use some work and the clutch is at the end of it’s life.
Id be interested in a trade for a side x side or other reasonable trades”
Both these jeeps have an unusual hardtop. At least one of these is a 2A.
