Knarley Rolls, Paul’s M-38. The spare with its cover is attached to the back of the jeep.
The black steel wheel in the photo below is one of 8 new wheels I purchased for the Willys (4 and a spare) and the M100 trailer (2 and a spare) so I need to modify these wheels to accept the stainless wheel discs I previously made. Each wheel will have 6 metal tabs (evenly spaced) welded to the outer face of the wheel with the tabs running from the outer bead flange to the raised inner ring around the lug nut area and each tab will have two nuts welded to the inner surface. These nuts will line up with holes drilled thru the stainless wheel discs to accept the wheel disc attach hardware and the tabs will provide additional support to hold the wheel discs while driving.
The black rim is to the right covered by a template. The other parts are trailer pieces from the disassembly of his trailer.
My original plan was to have only one nut per tab (so the wheel disc would be held on with six machine screws) but it’s much easier to weld two nuts to each tab while I’m making the parts than to have to add additional nuts and attach screws after the wheels have been powder coated just in case the discs wobble during rotation. I’ll try the 6 attach screws per wheel first and if the wheel discs stay smooth during driving I’ll leave the extra 6 nuts empty. If the disc shows any sign of instability while driving I’ll use all 12 screws to attach the disc for extra support.
Here’s something special. It runs. You’d be the only one on the block with this rig.

“This Jeep runs and drives great, just took it on a 150 mile cruise 70 mph no problem. Steering is tight and is suspension. Look at all the pic’s and see the original condition and original factory red paint (not repainted).This Jeep has great patina!! Please note: a small dent in front right fender, small ding in front left fender, small tear in soft top. Top is not perfect but looks and functions well. Absolutely no fluid leaks in or around engine.

“Listing my 1952 Korean war Willys M38 Jeep. S/N 70728. Runs good but does smoke a bit. Body is super with only rust on floorboards in front and one small place on drivers side. No dents!! Frame still has paint on it in places. Gas tank has a small leak but can easily be repaired. Paint is ugly!! Was originally O.D. Green, than primed and painted Air Force Blue and Lettering on the hood that says “Personnel Services”. I sanded it a bit to be able to read what it said. Under that the original unit numbers are just barely visible. Than it was painted red. Has been converted to 12 volt system but the 24v wiring harness is still there. Drives and shifts fine and no problems with transfer case either. Will need a brake job. Had military mud flaps on the rear so I suspect it was used on the flight line at some point. VERY RESTORABLE!!”

“Hobart Gas Engine Driven welder generator. Will need some work to make run but does run and work. Currently the engine cover is off and the radiator was removed to be replaced. Have new radiator and needs to be reassembled. Gas in tank is likely bad from sitting. With some work you can have a decent running older welder generator. Or use the parts for something else.
The engine is a cool old JEEP Willys industrial motor.
AS is no trades. The welder head alone will fetch $300 worth of scrap copper at the recycle yard, I would just rather see it go to someone who has the time to use it.”

New Parts: all Brake shoes, master cylinder, all wheel cylinders, all brake springs and hardware, front brake lines, all new tie rod ends, new steering dampner, 4 new shocks, new turn signal system, new light bulbs and covers, new starter, new fuel pump, 4 new tires, new battery, new fuel sending unit and fuel (filter) sock (sending unit needs to be wired to the fuel gauge). New oil pressure gauge,new water temperature gauge, tune up within the last three months. All lights work, wipers work, turn signals work. New front turn signal assemblies. The electronic ignition works great but I have a new replacement as a spare part.
