Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. “1968 CJ 5 Jeep, This Jeep is in very nice condition and is set up for serious off road travel, clear Oregon title with 2014 tags, Buick V-6, T-18 4 speed transmission, Warn Overdrive, after market commercially produced boxed frame, stainless steel headers, dual exhaust, electric fan, power steering with radiator cooler, roll bar, double shocks, lifted, set up with tow bar for easy movement, second set of Super Swamper tires on chrome wheels.”
No title and the body is off.
“I have a 47 cj2a with the flat head 4cyl, 3 speed and dana 18 t-case. The tub has some rust, but the frame is super solid. The tub is removed for some bodywork. The jeep was running and driving before the tub was removed. The motor runs like a top, trans shifts smooth, 4wd works. Has spoke wheels with 31″ tires, very deep agressive tread. Could be a trail jeep or lots of good parts. No title. I will sell the jeep for $1000 cash obo or will trade for a set of 6 lug chevy wheels with 35″ tires or bigger or an s-10 for parts, not running, no title, no worries. “1947 T3C (C for civilian). Total restore. All rust holes fixed with metal, floor straightened, new frame. Fulton #6 coupler for 1 7/8” ball. Second right hand tail light added, can be 6 of 12 volts. 215 x 85 x 16 tires. Registration: can get homemade trailer registration if needed for whatever it costs. Axles had new seals and gaskets, bearings are good, new U-bolts. Vintage wiring throughout. Will need trailer plug. NICE!!

“I have a 1947 Jeep Willy for sale. I currently does not start and it is needing a complete rebuild. The person I got it from said it started and that was over two years ago. I am selling it for $2000.00 or best offer. You will be responsible for getting it where you want it and I do have a clear title on hand for this Jeep. This is a great father and son project or just a great rebuilt to get into it. I got myself into many other projects that I just don’t have the time to invest into this one right now. “1946 Willys CJ2a 12 Hours on fresh build engine all NOS parts used on original go devil engine. The tub is rusty but frame is in good condition, tires are in good condition no dry rot and have the original spare tire, brake pads just replaced an has new battery (less than week old). She runs great and can be driven on the road with no problems.”

(09/16/2013) The engine is stuck. I’m not sure if this means it is frozen or just not working.

Gary forwarded this odd short video of a rough CJ-2A that just keeps going . . . at least until it gets stuck.
Larry wanted to share some pictures of his jeep family. Their newest jeep is his wife’s new Grand Cherokee. To make room for a MB he wants, Larry is selling the maroon CJ-2A. I don’t have any more information on a price just yet.

(12/28/2011) “i have 2 fc170 willys cab over trucks the first one is 1963 green in coler it does run and drive. the rear window is missing,it also has new shocks and new tires and new breaks cab is in vary good shape for the age has a stake side flat bed on it . the next one is a 1960 fc-170 dully red in coler with a tip cab this one does not have a motor in it but i do have the motor and 4 speed trans for ir it this one is also in vary good shape with a flat bed they are not all ruster out this one also has new breaks. i have extra axles frount and rear one set of axles are off a fc-150 thoes are a little smaller i also have the box from the fc150 there also is a snow plow with the pump rams and controls and a counter wate there is also an extra fc170 cab and alot of extra parts would like to sell all together not looking to sell just one or the other”

This has no title. I’ve never seen a front roll cage loop installed like that.
“This is a mostly complete CJ2a. The drivetrain is there, but the body is rough. It is not in running condition, but the engine spins freely with a wrench. There is rust in the body. This could be the start of a new project, or used for parts. I do not have the title.”

“I have a 1953 M38A1 marine corp jeep for sale asking 5000 for it. The jeep has all the original parts it is operating on the 24 volt system. I had the seats reupholstered and the body painted. The whole jeep has been gone through and checked. I only have a few little tinker things left to fix on it not much. kept inside under cover simply because it is beautiful piece of history. The only reason I am selling it is because I need the room in the shop.
