“1953 marine jeep runs great. great for off road or just a sunday drive . it is a hed turner.4,200 is what iam asking but well consider all offers”
Despite the custom fenders, there might be value here.
“1943 Willys Jeep with plow. Runs good. Great plow vehicle or restoration project.
Call Scott 603-801-7353, Cash only.”
UPDATE: **Status Unknown** Was $650.
Joe spotted this jeep. I believe the price dropped from $1100 to $650, despite what the text says in the ad. Also, this might have an overdrive or the seller is confusing that with the transfercase. This could be a MB or GPW instead of a 1950 flattie.
“Complete but needs work. I was going to build it into a crawler but I found another that is a better fit for my growing family. I will sell it for $600 without the motor/trans/overdrive unit. If you want the motor/trans/overdrive I would take $1100. It has a chevy V8 and it has a warn overdrive unit. It dose not run. Previous owner said engine needs work.”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $3000.
(06/16/2012) Looks like a nice little truck. The driver’s side window is plexiglass. It appears to need wipers.
“For sale- no trades is a 1961 Willys Jeep 4×4 or 4wd that runs. Appears to have all original running gear. Brakes work, engine runs, drives. It has a working pto Braden winch. I have a clean/clear Calif. title in my name at my address. No issues at all with title. I’ve done alot of work around it but it still needs more. It is on a current non op- tags and insurance prior to movement on hwy. I’m selling it because I have another older one to work on. I don’t need two of them.
Six cylinder Hurricane 226 L6, 3 speed with Hi’Low, winch. Single piece windshield, radiator holds water, heater works, all glass intact (drivers side is plexiglass), doors shut good, engine starts good, tranny works, pto winch works, flat bed. Lights work.
Basically a lot of things are going for it but it still needs more attention. I painted it so it will show well when the wife sees it but it will also require some body work after it gets road worthy.. Doesn’t cost you to look ‘cept for gas.”
UPDATE: Was $1800. **SOLD**
This runs and drives. The body doesn’t appear too bad.
“1947 Jeep CJ2A. Runs and drives. 4 cyl. 3 speed. Have extras not pictured. Asking 1800 o.b.o.”
No pics provided. They are near me somewhere if anyone is interested.

“Jeep is a project. Motor, transmission and transfer case are mounted in frame, have body, fenders, hood, grill, tailgate, radiator, seats, gas tank, windshield frame, and other various parts. And another 1947 Jeep frame with running gear. ”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $1500
This is supposed to run, but the carb isn’t attached in the pics.
“1946 Willys CJ Jeep.
Runs good, put in a new carb kit.
Motor is a V6 Buick,
frame is solid
windshield is good
seats have been re-done,
Clear title.
Reason for selling it I don’t have the time to restore this.
Would make a great project vehicle
1500.00 or best offer,
Email me if you would like more pics.”
UPDATE: Price dropped to $3000.

(04/11/2013) I believe this is a M-38 body on a CJ frame. The grille appears to be connected like a 2A would be rather than like a M-38.
“47′ CJ2A M38 Military”
UPDATE: Was $5800. **SOLD**
(04/02/2009) “EXCELLENT working condition; runs good with 548 miles on new motor; V6 225 Buick. New tires, aluminum wheels, locking hubs. (02/20/2013) The clutch is slipping and needs replacement.
“I have a 48 willys jeep with 283 and 4 speed Muncie trans. Has a body lift also. Jeep is clean title and up to date registration in my name with pink. Jeep runs great other then the trans is out right now cause clutch was slipping and I have not had the time to replace if. Low bb on it is $4100 looking for $3000 for how it sits or I can get it all completed for $4000. I am also open to trades just let me know what you have. I could use metal lathes, surface grinder, mills, or hone machine but open to all offers equal the value. ”
Just a few updates tonight.
We were out for a short drive to downtown Pasco and back. Instead of taking our normal route, I returned home via some side roads. We were a couple miles from home when we spotted these two jeeps. Not often I see a M-677 parked in a driveway (unless I’m at Jesse’s house).
I ran across an article about “Sand Pounders”, a name given to the soldiers that patrolled the beaches off of the Gulf of Mexico. The article included these two jeep pictures.
Here’s a neat ad.

Doug spotted this solid looking restorable MB/GPW. It appears to have combat rims, too. It is listed as a 1946 Military Jeep.

(04/05/2013) It needs some brake work.
“VERY NICE WILLYS JEEP CJ3B WITH 52200 MILES ORIG.ARIZONA/NEVADA JEEP SOLID,NO APPRECIABLE RUST. 3SPD, HIGH/LOW RANGE TRANSFER CASE 4WD. I’VE HAD IT A LONG TIME AND IT’S A GREAT JEEP BUT IT NEVER GETS USED ANYMORE. ORIG. WHEELS COME WITH IT ALONG WITH MANY SPARE PARTS. RIGHT NOW IT NEEDS VERY LITTLE WORK. THE HEATER IS OUT AND NEEDS TO BE CLEANED UP AND REINSTALLED PLUS I HAVE A SPARE. THE BRAKES NEED TO BE BLED BECAUSE I JUST REPLACED A BAD WHEEL CYLINDER AND ALSO HAVE A KIT FOR THE MASTER CYLINDER. RUNS GREAT BUT THE TIMING HAS TO BE SET BECAUSE I WAS SETTING IT BY EAR AND TURNED THE DISTRIBUTOR TOO FAR NOW I CAN’T START IT. NOTHING NEEDS TO BE REBUILT. WITH SOME MINOR WORK YOU HAVE A GREAT OLD JEEP. I JUST DON’T HAVE THE TIME TO WORK ON IT.”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $800.
There may be value here.

Larry forwarded me an ad for the Sawyer Motor Car Show in Saugherties, NY. He included a few pictures of his CJ-2A, so I asked him to send me some more pics.
He writes, “These pictures were taken on the 4th of July. The gentlemen in the passenger seat is Joe Sinnotti a WW2 Navy Seabee. I was asked to put some Stars and markings on my jeep. Funny how a lot of people don’t know the difference between a real WW2 jeep and civilian one. My family and I enjoy driving around town. I have heard ‘hey look at that old army jeep’ plenty of times and have had plenty of pictures taken. I cant stop at a red light or park without pictures being taken. I love it when dads take their kid’s pictures by it. I tell them to put the kids into it — boy what a smile they get! Hope years from now they can look back with fond memories.”
Thanks for sharing Larry!
Larry’s son just got his driver’s permit. I suspect their will be some competition for the driver’s seat 🙂
