I have no interest in the Willys so thats why i am selling . Jeep runs , moves and stops . I really dont know much more about it but its definitely worth to restore . Frame is in real good shape as seen in pics . Body isnt beyond repair . It is still at 6volt system , four wheel drive along with hi and low work . I have a clean Ma title in hand . I am sure im missing alot of info so if you need to know something just send me a email and i will do my best to answer .
Along with jeep i also have a aluminum hard top “not the greatest shape” , an extra windshield with frame and i will add anything else that i just didnt grab yet from the guy i bought it from . This is all included in auction.”

The grandson of Samuel Hunter created an online scrapbook of his adventures during World War II in the Pacific. Interestingly, Sam was 44 when he joined the Navy. Perhaps due to his age, he understood the uniqueness of this experience and kept a scrapbook. From the scrapbook comes the entire story along with this picture, one of many images. It is a fascinating story.

Greg has the same problem I had when I built my rollcage. I wanted to bend my cage prior to the installation of my top (at the time I didnt’ own a top). Mitch came through with some measurements that saved me. http://www.ewillys.com/2009/10/17/my-build-bending-the-rollcage/
What Greg needs are the measurements from the top of an installed kayline top to the top of the wheel wells so he can accurately bend the roll bar. If anyone could measure that distance, it would be appreciated.
The Polo Fire Department’s Website has nice shots of their Fire Jeep online. According to the website, this is a “1946 Willys Jeep with front mount pump an pull behind water tank. They also use it to clean shelters and other structures in the spring.”
