“Aftermarket Sears Manual Locking Hubs Taken Off Willys MB Fits CJ2A GPW Jeep CJ. Condition is “Used”. Used take offs for rebuild or parts. D-bubba-ing my 1945 MB and finally got around to removing these off the front axles. As is condition. The Jeep has not run since I acquired it and therefor these are untested in driving conditions. Mounting bolts are not included.”
Listed as a 1947, this appears to be a 1946 VEC CJ-2A. This has a BW overdrive. And, it might have the Hudson steering mod.

Note the jeep in the front. It looks like the front clip is sitting sideways. Maybe these were pulled because they didn’t work? Contrary to what the caption indicates, the water doesn’t look too deep for the jeeps.

This photo appeared in the January 31, 1945, issue of the Evening Sun out of Baltimore, Maryland. It was accompanied by a jeep-train photo also.
I am wondering if this was originally named “Kathie”, but then the solider got permission to bring the jeep home? The photo is dated 11/21/1945, so it is post-war.

Bidding starts at $15. This is listed as a 1950 creation, but I would think it was published earlier than that. Given it includes a truck, but no CJ-3A, I’d say more like 1948? I’ll have to verify with my copy.

I don’t know much about these or what these are worth. Here, it is listed as an M-151A2, but I couldn’t verify that the model number was used to identify this. My guess is that it’s built on an M-151 chassis, but that could be wrong, too. It reminds me of the lightweight airborne jeeps.

The odd addition of the external radiator is due to the installation of a V-8. It includes a trailer. This also has the early Husky hubs.

“Real Pink Surrey Edition DJ3A. 2 wheel drive. L134, column shift. Clean title. Will need some TLC. Body has some rust, needs carb rebuilt, and factory tank repaired and put back in(temporary fuel tank in back right now). Brakes work and steers great. Has factory bumpers, hub caps, and some original pink fabric on seats. Was driving around a few months ago. Motor has some smoke. Currently not running. Hard top also available. Bring a trailer. This is a mix of parts. The body is M-38, but the chassis is CJ, probably CJ-3A given the engine and radiator. The Windshield is obviously CJ-2A.
