“For Sale 1942 Jeep Willys Flat Fender. Completly Restored 4sp. 4×4. $15,000”
Gary has become a regular reader. His green CJ-5 is undergoing a makeover, with a body purchased off craigslist coupled with a rebuilt motor (134 F is in the machine shop), including a new engine kit and re-ground crank. You can see his starting jeep in the pic below. Gary is also working on a spare tire carrier for the back of his CJ-5 which he plans to share when it is finished. Thank for sharing!
Gary also provided pics of his friend Lawrence’s jeeps.
The first of Lawrence’s jeeps is a CJ-2A which he cut and converted to a two wheel drive truck. Lawrence is pictured here.
The next is a cj3B with a 2.8 chevrolet engine and a T14 transmission. (He calls it a John Deere Jeep).
Last is a M38 A1, with a few upgrades.
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was Make Offer
NOTE: Check out the bottom pic. The pumpkin is centered and the wheels aren’t wide enough. Something isn’t right here.
“This is Jeep CJ-5 this is the first year it was made,”( it does not have a Motor, Tranny or a Title )” it would make a nice parts jeep or if someone wants to restore it, I am selling this for a friend,”
UPDATE: **SOLD** the listed price was $800. Purchased by an eWillys reader. Note the circles on the sides. Learn more about this jeep in the comments.
“1948 willy’s jeep complete . chev. nova motor . motor run but has been sitting for a long time . great oldie to fix up .”
UPDATE: **SOLD**
“This is a 1945 Jeep Willys MB (ID plate on the frame is: MB 435254), which means that this is a late-production MB with a date delivery around April 1945. The body has a few minor dents in the rear, the rest of the body is straight. Overall, it’s pretty solid. No rust, starts, runs and stops.”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $2000
With some new paint, this would look pretty good.
“Classic 1953 Willys Pickup. 4 wheel drive, 4 cyl. original 134F engine, winch, extra hood. Good running vehicle. $2000. Rare Find!! You don’t see too many of these around anymore”
I’ve lived in Seattle. I grew up near Seattle. That doesn’t look like the Seattle I remember ….
“Good running truck. Wipers work. Lights work. 1967 Buick 6 cylinder. Converted to 12 volt. 4-wheel drive works good. About $2,000 in recent work to brakes, cables suspension and engine. Classic license plate so annual license fees are $0.00 forever. Clear title and about 41,000 miles. Jim 206-285-9522 jimibird@comcast.net”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $1500
This should move snow nicely. Nothing fancy though.
“1958 Willys pickup with heavy duty snow plow. This truck starts easily and dependably even in sub-zero weather. We used this truck for years to keep a 1/4 mile section of private road plowed. We’ve since moved to a more civilized location where the county plows the road, so the truck has been used mainly during the summer to haul firewood and logs around the property. 226 cu. in. 6 cylinder engine, 3 speed transmission, 12 volt electrical system, full set of tire chains. This is not a show truck and has its fair share of rust and dings but it is reliable and very capable.”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $1200.
“I am selling my 1953 M38-A1 Willys Jeep. It has a Buick Grand National V-6 with an Elderbrock intake and runs very good. I have the original tires and wheels that came with it and the original seats. The seats need reupohlstered and the engine could use a set of adjustable pushrods. The pushrods in it right now are a little noisy, but nothing major. I do not have a title ,but I was told that I can get one if I want. The four wheel drive works but it does need a gear replaced in the front axle. I have a spare front axle with power assist that goes with the Jeep. This will solve that problem. I drive it around my house and sometimes take it down the road. This would make a great play toy for a weekend warrior. There is no rust at all anywhere on the body.”l
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $1500. DJ-3A with 4WD upgrade.
(08/28/09) This looks like a great deal on a flattie.

(11/19/09) The driver’s indents are gone, but the lack of a gas inlet suggests they might be filled in or replaced. It’s got MB fenders, but I suspect the grille might be a CJ as is the windshield.
“I have a 45 willys for sale or trade. It has a 350 v8 munzi 4 speed dana 44 rear and 25 front. ”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $2400.
The seller says the entire body is painted with bed liner. I’m assuming that means the outside too? I’m hoping my assumption is wrong, as the body looks straight and clear of rust.

It’s cool, but it’s a CJ-3A not CJ-3B.
“CJ3B Aluminum one of a kind. Pictures speak for themselves. POLISHED aluminum… Detailed replica of CJ3B flat fender… Aftermarket AFW frame. I acquired this Jeep CJ3B through a long history and I just do not have the time to complete the project. My loss your gain… The original fabrication cost of the body and frame is over $12,000. Motor mounts are for a Chevy 350, or Vortec V6, Buick v6 etc… 44 difs no gears. The wheels and rims pictured may not come with the vehicle… very scratched rims etc… not worthy of this show piece. Price is $8,500 negotiable, motivated to sell in 2009.”
It looks like a fine jeep for only $2200. I’m not sure the ‘crawler’ poses are the best way to sell this jeep.

Johnny spotted this 5 gallon can and a 2.5 gallon can on Amazon.
Steve spotted this unique item. For reasons unclear, probably related to California statues, the seller cannot ship this to California.

I may also be interested in a Jeep Wrangler, a nice 3/4 ton pickup for towing a trailer on trips, Classic Car in driver condition, several nice items for my gun cabinet or ? Email me with photos, descriptions of your item(s) to trade and your proposal”.
And, from a previous ad:
“You are looking at a Roof Palomino riding mower. There were a few of these produced with the Jeep Body in the 60’s and 70’s by the Roof Mfg. Co. was in Pontiac, IL. This one has had a few very minor modifications from the original such as the roll bars and there has been a couple of holes cut in the sheet metal that can easily be repaired (see pictures) just finding one of these being sold is quite a task. I have decided to sell a few of the rarest garden tractors out of my collection if you know anything about these you will know this is a really good price. This would be a great golf cart or advertising item. Serious inquiries only”
