It appears complete. It’s not running. It might make a good trail jeep.

Now I know what you are thinking; Why install a non-military fording kit? That’s what you were focused on, right?
“1952 Willys M38A1 90% restored to as delivered to the Marine Corps in 1952. This vehicle was converted to 12 volts with new non military wiring. It runs well and transmission as well as transfer case work well. There are some minor leaks in the seals of the rear diff and transfer case. The battery box was removed by previous owner to install heater. heater has been removed. Many new parts including lights, horn switch, dash, glove box cover, gauges, steering wheel and more. This M38A1 runs very well and has made the parade / car show circuit in upstate New york this summer with no problems. The fording kit is not military, but looks real cool. The starter and generator are not waterproof so don’t expect to ford any streams. Markings are correct for the 1950s era. There are minor blemishes on the tub, but no rust holes. The frame is solid and in excellent shape. It runs and stops. The motor is clean and runs well. Sorry guys, Danielle does not come with the Jeep.”
This looks in good shape, though note there is a hole in the gas tank.
“CJ2A Willys jeep in good condition. Original drive train. Very little if any rust. rancho 1.5 springs and shocks diamond plate corners and rockers for looks not covering rust. runs good. normal were and tear from sitting in garage some scratches and dings. No top, and windshield glass is not in the frame. What you see is what you get one AWESOME CJ2a. Brakes are hard to push they work just hard, need bleeding from sitting. There are some minor wiring issues, i can’t get the head lights to go from bright to dim. radiator is not the best. gas tank has pin hole…”
No pics. I really wanted to see pics of this one.
“I have a 1943 Willys World War 2 Jeep that “Bubba” has modified. Actually I have been told this is a “MEESE” from the Phillipines?? Front fenders are different, has either a 1955 or ’56 Chevy 265 with original T84 and transfer. Jeep does run but needs total restoration. Unique looking Jeep. Sorry I have no camera so you would need to come and take a look/see. Located just outside of Watseka, Il. $2000 cash only, In God I Trust. Thanks”
Randy’s friend Jack appears to have contracted the Willys disease.
Jack tells the story, “Short story; Jack has been familiar with my flat fenders and thought nothing about it. Well, I found and he bought the ‘Weeds’ Willys [See pics of the ‘Weeds’ Jeep here]. Next week, while looking at your site, I spotted a ’46 in nice shape only 15 miles from where we live!!!! Well, Jack bought that one too! On Sunday afternoon he wa talking with some friends and someone mentions he has an old Jeep in his pasture; one of those “it ran when parked” jeeps. Well, you guessed it, Jack bought that one as well ($275) and the motor looks good. So, 3 Jeeps in 3 weeks for my buddy Jack. Guess I forgot to mention he’s an engineer by trade”
Here’s the ‘Weeds’ Jeep
Here’s the 2nd Jeep
Here’s the newest addition
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $2500.
The price looks reasonable for a drivable flattie. The body looks a little beat up and it appears there is a patch on the passenger side of the body.
“Runs great!!”
This includes an Overdrive. Pics coming soon. I’m not sure what Mall205 means.

This looks very nice.
“This kills me to do, but i need to knock down some debt. i have a restored 46 cj2a that i would like to sell. it has not been restored to original, but is exceptional none the less. everything was done 2 years ago. the windshield frame, fenders, and grill are all original. the tub was replaced, the engine rebuilt, wheels and tires replaced, new spare tire mount, new gas tank, all new seats, new glass, new top and doors, remote oilfilter kit, new battery, new brakes, basically the whole willys was rebuilt, except the transmission and transfer case. it runs the original flat head (rebuilt about 4-5k miles ago), tranny and transfercase, and axles. i have daily driven this for teh last 2 years during late spring, summer and early fall. it fires right up, runs smooth, sounds good, and has been perfectly reliable. the tires are 1.5 years old 30×9.50 bfg mudterrains mounted on 15” ford steel wheels. the whole jeep was repainted when the tub was replaced, and teh interior and fenderwells have all be sprayed with tinted spray in bedline to match the paint exactly.”
I was doing some research and found some pics from a female photographer on flickr who calls herself 03Jeepgirl. She owns two jeeps, though she didn’t get specific about what she owns. She’s posted a large number of old vehicle pics, including these flattie shots.
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was priced at $4000.
There’s a square pegs .. well lights … in round holes. I can’t tell if this runs or not.
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $3450.

There’s been work done on the body. It sounds like the seller must sell before xmas, so this might become a great deal.
“My 1946 jeep is for sale, son decided to take apart and rebuild, and ran out of follow through! Engine and all parts are there, with several extra pieces and parts. Body parts sanded and primed. Jeep was running fine as we used it around the ranch, until he decided to “fix it up”. Flat head 4 cylinder, oil bath air cleaner, minimal rust. I believe it is a CJ2A civilian. Has a removable homemade hard top, 16” tires. Email me offers, has to go before Christmas day.”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $3500.
I’d say those are floatation tires!

“I have a Ramsey winch pto unit 73002, that bolts to the bottom of the transfer case. This is unit is hard to find and necessary if you want both an overdrive and the pto capability on your vehicle. I’m not sure which vehicles this will fit, but I’ve been told that it will bolt onto a Dana 18 and Dana 20. The tooth count is 20 on the main gear. The adaptations of the frame member and shift lever are left up to you. See pictures. Call (503) 554-0631”
It runs and drives, but the pedals are frozen? Can someone explain that to me …
“1947 Willys Jeep with Chevrolet 4 cylinder 153 engine. Has new Coil, plug wires, points and condenser. Runs and drives. Engine smokes some. Pedal assembly froze up and multiple rust perforations in floor. Has tow hitch brush guard and roll bar. I drove it last Saturday after Thanksgiving.”

“Ready for restoration! Body is in good condition – some engine work has been done – newer brakes and wheels. Great Christmas gift for a Jeep enthusiast! We’ll supply a big red bow!”
There’s been some body work on this jeep. For example, note the sharp angle of the fenders rather than the normal smooth corner. The body drain holes are missing and there’s something unusual about the tailgate area.
“1948 JEEP WILLYS, 4X4, HAS APROX 2000 MILES ON ENGINE, NICE TOP, NEW PAINT”
