• CATEGORIES: Unusual, Willys Wagons This site contains affiliate links for which I may be compensated.

There’s got to be at least some value here. That rear almost looks like it has a full floating set up.

This was my 4×4 project until I got sick. It has a REAL strong 4 speed, chev 6 that runs, Dana front end and rear end. It just has no wiring right now, but it is a great project or parts vehicle. Priced to sell FAST. (425) 971-1769 cell, Please no text message Todd needs a good home with someone willing to finish my dream project”

1942 MB Walla Walla, Wa $1500

• CATEGORIES: MB This site contains affiliate links for which I may be compensated.

1942_mb_wallawallaUPDATE:  Price dropped to $1500

(06/08/09) This is an MB mixed with an 80’s Toyota of some type?

“1942 Willys with Toyota running gear (Engine a 22R, 4 speed manual tranny, tranfer case and axles are all out of an ealry 80’s Toyota). Tires are 38 inch Gumbo Monster Mudders Radials, siped with 60-70% tread left. This rig is open front and rear with stock gears and keeps up with fully locked, re-geared rigs. It is a pure mountain machine, its light, very flexy and extremely capable in mud and snow. I would consider selling the jeep for less without the tires but will not sell the tires without the jeep.”

Builds: Steve saves a M-38

• CATEGORIES: Builds This site contains affiliate links for which I may be compensated.

Steve tells me he spotted this M-38 on eWillys and decided to purchase it last July.  On the right you can see the ‘before’ condition which is how Steve purchased it, but I think it pretty much tells the story.  There was a bunch of metal welded onto the jeep in odd places and it was red, everywhere.

As you can see in the pics below, just taking off the metal and painting it green has done wonders for this old M-38.

1951 M-38 Boise, Id **SOLD**?

• CATEGORIES: CJ-3A, M-38 This site contains affiliate links for which I may be compensated.

sheep_wagonsUPDATE: I dropped by the seller’s house today to check this jeep out.  Kim’s father is the actual seller and Kim is selling it for him. Both father and son rebuild wagon’s, with Kim specializing in Sheep Wagons (see pic to the right).  I suspect the large Basque population in southern Idaho (5th largest community of Basques in the world) fosters this unusual hobby (at least I’ve never seen these anywhere else).

As for the jeep, it turns out to be a pretty stock M-38 that runs.  It’s got some rough edges and needs some paint.  It’s got the dual battery setup.  It could use new seat covers and a new gas tank and a few other items.  A professional mechanic has done some work on it and can provide more specific information.

Builds: Trevor’s Old School CJ-2A

• CATEGORIES: Builds • TAGS: This site contains affiliate links for which I may be compensated.

I gotta say I like this jeep.  There’s enough old school stuff to make me smile.  Check out the battery, the roll cage, the art on the back, the dashboard, the gauges, the gas pedal … I could go on.

The owner of this jeep is 16 year old Trevor, who inherited it from his father.  Trevor’s going to make some updates to this jeep, such as adding power steering.  He asked for some advice regarding steering so naturally I asked for pictures.

Trevor wrote, “thanks so much for your time and advice! it really means a lot to me cause i wanna get this thing out on the trails like my dad did back in day.”

I ran across this Bantam website the other day.  Its full of pics of a single Bantam.  I love the Bantam multi gauge.

There’s not much information on the website.  This is all there is: “Less than 3000 Bantam Jeeps were produced. This B.R.C. 40 is #2649. The date of delivery was “June, 1941”. Fewer than three dozen of these classics have been fully restored and this, I believe, is one of the best! Be sure and check out the additional pages of pictures of this Bantam listed below

“Title: Clear Engine: 4 Cylinder Exterior color:Green Transmission:Manual Fuel type:Gasoline Interior color:Green Options 4-Wheel drive Steering checked out, new master cylinder, brakes were adjusted and check out with no problems. My Build: Brodie Knob Installed

• CATEGORIES: Biscuit This site contains affiliate links for which I may be compensated.

Sometime next week I hope to be bending my roll cage with my home-made tubing bender.  I’m waiting for the die to get here still.  I’m also waiting for the delivery of my windshield and cowl rubber so that I can get my windshield all ready to go.  In the meantime, I’ve been busy updating the website and doing a few things to the jeep.

One of those things was the installation of my brodie knob.  I discovered I could cut down a piece of rubber that I think was used by my dad when he installed his CJ-5 body on it’s frame.  It was the perfect thickness, so I cut it down, shaped it and installed it.  It’s nice and tight.  Here’s a few pics.
