“This is a set of Kelsey Hayes steelies which measure 16×4.5 and have a 5 on 5-1/2” bolt pattern. I am asking $90ea for a total of $360. The exterior face has been reconditioned. Lug holes are all in great shape along with the valve stem holes. These wheels could be found on Military Jeeps, Internationals, Willys and other vintage vehicles from the 40’s up thru the 60’s. If you are restoring a classic and need a nice set of time period correct wheels, these just may fit the bill.”
Lots of custom work on this project.

This is the fifth of five similar brochures, though it’s the only one described as a Willys-Overland Export Company Brochure. It highlights the Willys Sedan Delivery vehicle. The form number is SD-73-MI–80M–350. Like the others, it is nearly 22″x17″.
The brochure in the post below this appears to be the same, though with different colors, and it states it is from Willys-Overland Motors. Why are they different? I don’t know.
This is how the folded front page looks:
This is the folded back page:
When unfolded vertically, this page appears:
When unfolded horizontally, this page appears highlighting the new Hurricane engine:
When completely unfolded, this page appears:
And, finally, this is how the back appears when unfolded:
I don’t have a high resolution version of this brochure, as it’s more expensive (almost $50 after shipping and taxes .. it comes from Australia) than I’d like to pay. You can see it was originally sent to Minnesota (Cutler Motors Sales, Mora, MN). How it got to Australia I couldn’t say. Curiously, it has the same form number as the export version in the post above: SD-73-MI–80M–350.

I was inspired to purchase and learn more about the brochures below after realizing that a poster I saw during a visit at Dave Antram’s place in 2013. Here’s a photo of it:
I’m wondering if there is a Universal Jeep brochure similar to the brochures below. I don’t remember seeing one and I don’t have any documentation of one yet. There also could be other brochures with the same theme as the ones below, so I can’t say these five represent ALL of them.
Now on to the truck/wagon brochures. These five brochures are very similar, so I thought it would be interesting to compare them side by side. As you can see below, the images and coloring of the brochures are very similar to the poster, but not exactly the same. These brochures also have the dimension graphic concept, though the poster expresses it somewhat differently.
While I originally thought these were all printed in early 1950, I’m less certain, as Colin pointed out that #1 (4WD Willys Truck) mentions “Key Starting”, which he thinks appeared in 1952. So, most likely, these appeared between 1950-1952.
You can view the original scans using the following links:
These are the back of those brochures:
5. The New Willys Sedan Delivery brochure (domestic only? from the today’s top post)
The Shreveport Times reported on a forest fires on august 12, 1947, and included a photo of a forestry commission jeep.
Speaking of Forestry Jeeps, this photo of a Forest Service CJ-3A with a Fire pump was taken August 15, 1953. The image resides in the Black Hills National Forest Historical Collection.

The top bows are $700 a set. A price for the top clips were not included. Both the both bows and the clips are for the DJ-3A convertible model (solid back and CJ-3B-like windshield with twist-knobs across the top). The seller only has a few sets made. He notes that he isn’t making any money on them and has been more than willing to share information on the insights he gains trying to make his top.
The soft top is something custom the seller had made by an upholsterer. It took him some work to redesign and properly fit the top so that it would fold up and connect to the windshield properly, yet also fold down and attach to the body.
Here is pic of the reproduction bows vs. the original black bows:

“1953 Willys cj3b. This is a very clean old Jeep, with loads of new parts. It’s on about a 10 year old restoration has the 231 Buick v6 with a three speed plus overdrive. Brand new clutch, new fuel tank, new complete OE wire harness from kaiser Willys online, new ignition switch, headlight switch, front disc brake conversion, and it comes with the conversion for the rear. It runs and drives well, but will still need some tinkering to be 100%. This is one of the cleanest old jeeps I’ve seen. Has new tires all the way around. Come and see it you’ll be driving it home. I’m asking $11,500 obo. Possible trade for a nice 4 door pickup, or Toyota suv”
