“I am sad to be posting this but here it is. This is a one of a kind Hardtop Jeep Willys CJ3A. It has 18,500 original miles and the motor was rebuilt at 15,826 in 2016 ($3000 of work that I have the paperwork for).
Shocks were replaced at 15,665 miles. It is converted to 12volt. Its got brake lights and blinkers. 4×4 high and low work perfectly. The hardtop is custom fitted and fabricated, they didn’t make these with hardtops back then. This is a one of one Jeep Willys with an awesome patina, it could be sanded and panted easily but I would say don’t do it, keep that patina alive.

An April 12, 1941, article from the Escabana Daily Press out of California shows that it wasn’t always easy producing the Ford GPs. In this case striking works (and some reported sabotage of machinery) delayed manufacturing.

These series of photos show Edsel Ford riding in a “Blitz Buggy”, which we now know as a Ford GP. Note that there’s no reference to the “Ford GP” in any text.
This photo appeared in several newspaper, including the April 11, 1941, issue of the Sikeston Standard out of Missouri.

My Father obtained this keychain while working in fleet sales for Willys in the Carribean and Central & South America in the 50’s and early 60’s. Measures approximately 1″ in diameter x 1/4″ thick. “1962 Willy wagon with a history! Odometer shows 99964 TMU. This was originally a government car for the Atomic Energy Commission in the early 60’s. Original owner was an engineer with them and bought it when he left AEC. Wagon has been in Colorado for many years. I started Resto but now have no time to finish. Wagon has been Garaged for past 4 years. . Interior door and side panels were warped so I removed them. Most trim removed to get ready for paint (I have all removed trim) I also have seats front and back stored in garage. Drivers seat still in wagon.

“Listing for a friend. Not my jeep. M38 running jeep serial number 66857 May 1952. Asking $5000. Contact owner at [hidden information]. Located in Alabaster, Al. I looked at the jeep and it is very solid and practically no rust. After consulting other jeep experts we believe it has a early reproduction M38 tub, but these early tubs did not have the cowl battery box or ax/shovel indents in the tub. Jeep comes with over $600 worth of new parts including a CJ wiring harness, manuals and new windshield glass. Would make a great parade jeep, 12 volt, she thinks the brakes were replaced? I did see new brake hoses. Jeep was in the process of being restored up to about 3 weeks ago.”
