“Selling a super clean 1946 Willys CJ2A. Was a hunting rig in Eastern Washington in the 60’s and 70’s then parked in a garage for 30 years. Rescued it from storage last year. Does not run, has an overhead valve motor in it that’s stuck. What’s neat is that it has a super clean body, no major rust at all. Was going to pair this with my other CJ2A but just don’t think I’m going to get to it anytime soon”
UPDATE: Still Available.
(03/11/2023) Runs and drives.

“Original 4 cylinder engine, tranny, transfer case and axles. Has a winch, tire and fuel rack and all 3 seats. Top and doors are in good condition and the heater will sweat you out. Runs great for a 1948. Rebuilt carb, new distributor and coil, new radiator, electric fan and electronic fuel pump. Mileage is an unknown This Jeep has manual steering and no lift, about as stock as you can find one nowadays. Has numerous spare parts and a towbar. Have too many kids and can’t fit all of us to go play outdoors”
UPDATE: Still Available.
(05/19/2023) RJ is helping sell this customized CJ-2A. Note the engine and dash updates. It also has a convenient flip-down spare tire carrier in the back.

“Helping a friend sell this 1947 Willys Overland CJ2a. It belonged to her late husband. Hasn’t been on the road for a while and needs work. Has a 1988 Buick/olds 3.8 V6,fuel injected, 700r4 4 speed automatic and factory Dana 18. It will run but not very well, forward and reverse gears working. Power brakes and power steering. Stock axles with mile marker hubs. Newer slot mag style wheels, 30-9.50r15 tires that are starting to weather check.
The body work is starting to show its age but the tub isn’t terrible underneath. A few bubble spots, clear coat fading and paint damage on hood from a tarp. The bondo is about 5/10 on the Rathbone scale. Fenders have been customized as well as the tailgate, it has CJ7 style hinges and latch. Besttop tiger top has a few winters left in it, windows are starting to fog. Custom seats, carpet kit, back seat, radio console, gauge cluster and roll bar inside. Located in Pocatello ID, $5,600 OBO, seriously come see it and make an offer.”
UPDATE: Still Available.
(12/22/2022) Seller will take cash or consider a trade.

UPDATE: The correct name of this vehicle is Sternad not Steran, built by Anton (Andrew) Frank Sternad in 1917. As Mark notes in the comments, there is more information on it here: http://coachbuilt.com/bui/s/sternad/sternad.htm
================
Originally published May 5, 2023:
Merlin mentioned this vehicle (and article), called the Sterand Loco, in a Facebook post. Various sourced indicate it was built in 1902, but he felt it looked more like a 1920s build. I agree with him, that it is a cool car, but I am not steeped enough in early car history to know for sure when it might have been built.
After some internet searches, I found the engine was consistent with 1902 (a Rutenber 4 cylinder engine). However, after Googling and checking newspaper articles prior to 1920, I could not find what I felt was a definitive source for the date of the vehicle’s creation (no info on why it is called a Sterand or any promotion surrounding it’s inception). The most I could find was a postcard (from this website) that discussed what the article stated.
Still, it’s a cool car.
UPDATE: **SOLD** for $14,250 (thanks Tom)

I am taking the weekend off. I had hoped to take the Tour Jeep up to the Moonshiners race in Glenwood, WA, this weekend to share the FC with folks. However, I am not feeling the best, so I’ve decided to get some rest. Meanwhile, it seems one of our cows is showing signs of giving birth soon (we’d given up, thinking she wasn’t going to have a calf this year), so that’s a surprise!
Have a great weekend!
I haven’t seen one of these for sale for several years (at least).

“This wagon has been in the family for for the past 13 years. It has been on many long road trips. The car is in storage but I can put the battery back in it and drive it to any one of the COASTS, I am that confidant in my wagon! The car would be considered a restomod. The frame and body are the regional, the rest of it has been upgraded. 350ci V8 , Th350 transmission, 9” rear differential w/275 ratio, power disc brakes on all 4 wheels, mustang ll independent front suspension, manual Rack & pinion steering, all new 12 volt wiring harness that has been wrapped and hidden very clean, New aluminum radiator and trans cooler, New GPS speedometer and gauges. There is way too much to list. I have restored this wagon twice over the time I have owned it and have driven it some were between 25000/30000 miles. Looking to sell to finish my next project, I hate to sell it but if you a classic car owner you understand . “
Lots to like here.
