“70s style fiberglass jeep tub skin located in Clintonville”
The seller’s reference to the Bobcat of the 1950s is incorrect. This is the “bobcat” jeep from the 1950s. The Bobcat body wasn’t developed until 1969.

“1953 Jeep willys bobcat the body is all fiberglass it was a proto type for throwing out of planes but never were produced. This has a ford 302 v8 that runs strong it needs work here and there but nothing major. Im putting a new clutch and brake master cylinder on tommorow. I have title in hand and it has collector plates hollar if you have any questions.”
UPDATE: Still Available. The serial number is included, so the year should be estimate-able.
(06/22/2021) Given the front clip, this might be a 3B chassis, though the Parkette body is a low-hood version.
The seller is correct about Paul Parker and the body. But, I believe this is the first version of this particular style that I’ve seen. It lacks the side stripe, has fender extensions, has a little different PARKETTE design on the back, has an extra wide lip around the rear, and looks like it has a side step. Very interesting.

“Rare, rare, rare. 48/49 Willys Jeep with Parkette fiberglass body. Believed only a handful made while Paul Parker was back in Georgia. This one is a bit odd as it doesn’t have the “line” above the fender but it does have flared fenders; the Willys nose panel is original equipment. Not sure it’s on the right size frame at the moment but we do have an original Willys bare chassis on the property we can work into the deal.
Engine/trans present. Very cool project. Needs finishing. No title. Bill of sale only. If the ad is up, the Willys is available.”
Has a fiberglass body with other updates.

“1948 Willy’s. 4×4 has fiber glass body since original rusted out, but original engine, trans, transfer case, axles, etc. Windshield and windshield frame are original as well and do still fold. Runs and drives great. Sitting on 35’s. Everything works as it should. Seats are removable for easy clean out. Fires up everytime and will definitely put a smile on your face! Yes it does have a title”
UPDATE: Still Available.
(03/08/2022) This fiberglass body has an extra wide rim. I don’t recognize the manufacturer.

“Fiberglass body and floor,cj2a frame and steel fenders, hood and windshield frame. NO TITLE OR ENGINE, TRANSFER, TRANSMISSION. Possibly trades. Thanks for looking.”
This project is unusual in that the body is chromed fiberglass with rivets.

“I’m selling my project car of 15 years! I’ve misplaced my passion and ready to turn over my collector piece to someone willing and able to complete the last remaining items- if you have a garage, a few tools and a couple weekends- you can be the owner of this one of a kind Willy’s.

(02/20/2022) This fiberglass body may be the 3B Bobcat version. It’s got the wide brim in the back and the long steps. But, it is difficult to tell for sure.

“1954 willys jeep. 351 Ford
C4 automatic transmission
Power steering
Lockers
Dana 44s
Air conditioning
Fiberglass tub
Asking ninety 5 hundred”
The tub looks in very good shape. I would guess the seller is correct, that this is an older lightweight California tub similar to one I had from the 1970s. ‘$1200 gets you everything. $1000 just gets you the tub.
https://boston.craigslist.org/sob/pts/d/stoughton-fiberglass-willys-jeep-tub/7439939130.html
“We have available a fiberglass replacement tub for a flat fender Willys Jeep.
I believe this is for a CJ2A / CJ3A setup…but, maybe it also fits military MB M38 Ford GPW? Even though they had the high hood and slightly taller cowl I think it could potentially fit CJ3B , too?? The last photo shows the height of the cowl.
Doing some searching online I see ACME & Brian Chuchua’s may have made them at one point…but otherwise I don’t know the manufacturer.
This was from a project that started, but never fully mounted. Some holes were started on the firewall, and the fenders look like they started to get cut on the inside, but otherwise it’s still relatively “new”. Has some extra metal brackets / supports for around the firewall. It’s relatively light, but still feels solid.
Also available/included was a Bestop soft top (just the skins & doors no frame work) and 2 black front seats.
$1200 for everything or
$1000 for the body tub with fenders (I shouldn’t have to say this but CASH ONLY no electronic payments or checks!!)”
This could have a Bobcat shell body.

(11/05/2021) Looks like a good price. Has a fiberglass body (possibly a Bobcat body). Sounds like it has a non-functional overdrive.
https://houston.craigslist.org/cto/d/katy-1946-willys-cj2a/7401729879.html
“Selling my project CJ2A. I just don’t have time to work on it.
Vehicle runs and drives, but I overjetted the carb when I brought it down from Colorado, so it’s very rich and hard to start.
Jeep features:
full fiberglass tub and hood
a buick oddfire v6 swap
transfer case overdrive (currently non-functional)
tilt steering
electric fuel pump
besttop soft tub and full soft doors (not pictured but included)”
I don’t recognize this fiberglass body. The floor style is unlike any I have seen. It looks nicely designed, with a wider-than-stock rear brim for additional style and strength. It looks to have a Buick V-6 with headers and, possibly, an Edelbrock intake.
