UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $2500
This runs most days, but does need some things fixed. The top looks in great shape,
“Looking to sell my 1973 CJ-6. Like the CJ5, but 20” inches longer for more capacity/capability. Has 304 AMC V8, runs. 3 speed on floor. Dana 44 rear. Motorcraft 2bbl Carb was rebuilt and vehicle started/ran reliably before it was put in storage 10 years ago. Steel doors and hard top in good condition for age with minimal rust. Brand new Rancho stock height leaf springs on all 4 corners. 4 corner man-power drum brakes, and power by armstrong steering. This Jeep is a survivor. The body is straight and worth repairing/repainting/restoring. No title, and i have no plans to get one, i will, however, write a bill of sale. NH title will work if you want to make this truck road legal. Make no mistake, this is a PROJECT Vehicle. I am asking $2,500 to get what i have in it, although i am willing to negotiate a little, but please, no offensive offers! they only made 50k of these from 1955 to 1975, and 95% have been scrapped or wrecked. Very few remain. The Gipper had one as his ranch jeep. Search these jeeps on the interwebs and see what people are doing to them to make them cool, capable offroaders. I also know what they are worth, both unrestored and restored. I am just out of ambition with 10 other projects looming…This could be your next project!
Needs the following: Distributor acts up, sometimes it allows the truck to run, other times it doesn’t, easy fix im sure. Transfer case stuck in 4HI. Needs miscellaneous body mounts and perhaps some hat channels (typical for these CJ’s). Needs tires and wheels, but if you are building a custom jeep, this is the least of your concern. Im sure there are other things i am forgetting.
