“CJ2A Koenig tin top. I bought this to restore and put on my flat fender but ended up selling the jeep and the buyer did not want it. Has surface rust but no real cancer spots. Willys overland wheeler rock crawler M38 CJ3A high hood”
Mark’s selling this beautiful 1956 CJ-5 with a period correct Koenig hardtop. You can contact him via email at mpstruh @ gmail.com (remove spaces around the @).
“1956 Willys CJ5. Dry Idaho Jeep. Solid hat channels, body & frame. 45k miles. I bought it as you see it in the photos. Since I’ve put in 4 new springs, complete new Walcks wiring harness, master cylinder, brake lines, rebuilt carb and more with all my receipts. Drives, shifts and stops as it should. Nice running Jeep. Asking $11,000.”
The small rear window indicates this was an early DJ-3A hardtop. You can learn more about these DJ-3A and CJ-5 type of hardtops here: http://www.ewillys.com/2020/03/17/different-versio…factured-hardtop/

“Top only. Trade obo”
This early CJ-5 has some passenger side floor rust, but over all this might be a good restoration candidate (apart from the price). It has a good Kelly hardtop.

“Selling as is its 1960 Willys Jeep JP we do not know if the motor or transmission works in it. It has 19330 miles on the motor since it last run. It would be a nice little project to work on. If you have anymore questions or want more info you”

“*Clear title*
I have a forklift to help load. 1960 Willys CJ3B that was last plated in 2011. Frame is solid. Body is rough as shown in pics.
T90 Transmission and D18 tcase shifters all move nicely. F134 engine. The fuel pump and starter works. Engine compression is 100-75-0-60. The valves seem to be moving, and I haven’t looked into it any further. Probably needs soaked and cleaned up after sitting for so long.”
Mike spotted these doors and top for sale. It appears there are two sets of doors.

“Steel hardtop for early Jeep CJ5s. Fits 1955 through 1970ish. I believe this is a Meyer brand top. Its all there, glass is good, some rust through on the mounting ledge, patched hole in the roof. Comes with a pile of doors, rusted but useable. 300 bucks for the top and doors.”

“1952 Willys Military jeep with rare all aluminum arctic cab.
Served in Alaska.
We do not know the transmission #. It currently has a 1953 motor in it that runs.
Original 1952 engine included.”
I found this photo on eBay. It shows a VEC CJ-2A with a wood-based hardtop. The back of the photograph suggests that the builder of the hardtop may have been manufacturing these for sale for $265. The seller of these called them Jeep Station Wagon Bodies and built at least one of them (as shown in the picture). It appears these were built in or near San Francisco. There was another manufacturer who built similar tops out of Cleveland, Ohio, and advertised them as Station Wagon Bodies.
This has a Porter & Reed hardtop.

“Has title, ran when parked”
It could use some love, but these Safari tops aren’t something I see for see very often (more info). I’m guessing this was made for a CJ-3A or DJ-3A, but may fit a 2A.

“Sold my flatty. This top didnt go with. Good Safari brand top. Good doors. Hard lowers and soft uppers. Have brand new lexan windows that are cut but still need to be installed. Hard to find in decent shape.”

“This right here is a 1964 Jeep CJ-3B (4WD). The vehicle is a barn find. It has 43k original miles. It has a Buick V6 motor in it which is original to the vehicle. The original color on this Jeep is Spruce Green Tip. The top is in good condition. Floorboards are in good condition. Frame is in great shape. This is a great project vehicle—it has a RUSTY Exterior. **NO TITLE**. I don’t negotiate over the phone.”
I think this is a Koenig, but I can’t tell for certain.

This top portion of this top is a Porter & Reed hardtop. It appears the sides and back were removed and replaced by canvas (or remnants from a soft top).

(12/09/2022) Appears worth a look. Has some rust. There serial number postfix of 18728 puts this as a 1960, rather than the 1962 year that is listed.

“Picked up this 1962 willys CJ6 Jeep over the Summer. For a number of reasons, this is a project I am unable to pursue. Odometer shows 8k, probably rolled over once. Has some rust and usuual jeep rot, but in pretty good shape considering. Jeep came from an airplane mechanic and appears to have a good base for a restoration. I was excited to see an original hard top, which I believe are pretty hard to come by. I’ve left the jeep in essentially the same condition I got it, which includes most of the old dudes tools and nik knacks. I think $4000 is a fair price, but feel free to shoot me an offer”
UPDATE: Still Available.
(08/28/2022) This has a Blue Star hardtop, though it may be missing the rear and side doors.

“Starts and runs but has not been driven in years. We do not have a pink slip.”
