Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. Not totally stock, but looks like a solid jeep with some good life ahead of it.
“This is a 1948 Willys Jeep CJ2A. It is in excellent condition mechanically and appearance. All rust has been cut out and replaced with galvanized steel. All drivetrain components have been gone thru and repaired. Engine is the L 134 flathead four cylinder. It runs very well and is not a smoker. It has been converted to 12 volts and completly rewired and fuse box protected. New parts include radiator, water pump, starter, clutch, drive train bearings as needed, speedometer, fuel guage, temp guage, leaf springs and shocks all around, heater, windshield gaskets, turn signals and tail lights and more.This is a real head turner and is a fun vehicle.”

This looked nice and stock and really good . . . until I saw that the body was rhino lined on the outside. Sigh.
“Jeep is a 1946 CJ2a with a Willys 4 cylinder gas flat head engine, 6 volt electrical system,3 speed manual transmission. Jeep has been totally sandblasted with a full length floor pan installed,some new sheetmetal also installed. There is no rust and very little Bondo. New seats, new glass, shocks. Axles have not been pulled. Jeep had a spray on Rhino like finish applied. Jeep has engine noise probably tappet related. Canvas top also included. This looks solid. The bumper is unusual. There’s something wooden on the dash that I can’t quite see either. This may be a good price.

The truck has some dust, but otherwise looks nice. The jeep is listed as a 1950, but I’m guessing it is more likely a CJ-2A.

UPDATE: Mitch pointed out that this has a battery box. To me this means this is likely an original body rather than a repro. Check out the motor and wiring. Not the correct engine, but looks like some good work here.

“THIS IS A 1960 WILLYS FORWARD CONTROL JEEP PICKUP TRUCK. IT WAS RESTORED ABOUT 15 YEARS AGO, AND IS SHOWING SOME SIGNS OF NEEDING SOME FRESHENING UP. “Beautiful Willys jeep with a rebuilt 283 engine with less then 50 miles on it. The jeep also has new tires with less then 50 miles, in addition it has anew soft top and doors still in the box. The jeep is in pristine condition, and very clean, it shows no signs of rust. I wish I could keep the jeep, but with a new baby in the family I need a family vehicle. I am set on the price and would rather keep it then budge off the asking price.”
