This looks like a nice build.

‘1947 Willys CJ2A, 302 V8, C4 Automatic Transmission, 2″ lift, Warn Overdrive, ProBillit Dist, B&M Shifter, GM Alternator (new) 3wire, New Paint / bushings, Lined interior, New VDO Gauges, Painless Wiring (new), Custom Fuel Cell, Custom Bumpers, Battery Cell, LED Lights, New Tires and wheels. This has been a fun vehicle but it is time to move to the next project. When I started with this vehicle, it was nice… I just couldn’t leave it alone. We pulled the body, blasted it to the metal, and filled/welded all of the holes and removed any rust. I replaced the front fenders with new, built and installed a fuel cell, added new glass and rubber, shocks (rancho), tires, wheels, paint, wiring, powdercoating, etc. On and on and on. Dan spotted this unusual CJ-5.  This jeep is for the lover of skulls!  I didn’t know they made green tops like this?

The sellers are interested in selling, but aren’t in a hurry due to the wagon’s location.

“We have a ’59 Jeep Wagon we would like to sell. This vehicle has less than 60K original miles. It is only used in the summer, when cabin is accessible, and is garaged all winter. We are trying to decide to sell vehicle up there, or haul it to the Bay Area and try to sell it for more. Vehicle has a clear title and has always been registered in CA. It is equipped with 6 cyl. flathead engine. It has been used for short 4-wheel trips in the area. the body is no cherry, NO major rust, just scrapes from hidden boulders, one rear fender dented pretty good, also has a couple broken windows, (glass is broken, not broken out, make sense?). Interior is in real good shape for its age. Vehicle is road worthy, however I would recommend trailering long distances. Has top speed of about 55-60 mph. Right now we’re looking for potential buyers, vehicle is not accessible at this time, Cabin will be opened Memorial Day weekend or weekend after. email offers please be reasonable.These are the only pics I can find for now. More can be made available in the next couple weeks I’m sure. Please be in no rush, as we don’t get up to the area often and transaction will have to be arranged in advance. I hope you understand.”

This Jeep is equipped with a 2″ lift, 32″ tires, aluminum mag wheels, bucket wrap around contour seats, It has High/Low 4×4 & 4×2 Tranny & Transfer case. Soft Top & Doors. We have been completely thru this Jeep & found it to be in excellent mechanical condition.  With No Rust. The engine will out perform even a 6 cylinder & even  V-8’S in most any terrain. It has a throttle set for climbing the steepest grades with ease & no bouncing accelerator pedal. Diesel engine means long life, depenability &  excellant braking desending the steepest of grades…..”

The price looks great on this.  That said, many people don’t know that these were used during the war of 1959, a little known war pitting the Federalists vs. the Occupationists …
