This Willys will literally go anywhere, and it has. Dick Cook personally drove this rig with his daughter from Crested Butte Colorado all the way over the pass to Aspen only a few years ago for a road trip. With the option of locking out the rear 4 wheels this rig will motor down the highway at 65 mph. Also has one of the best turning capabilities of any auto out there. It will “crab” down the road in a parade or 8 wheel steer itself out of any trail corner. “1945 U.S. Army Willys Jeep, possibly the most sought after vintage vehicle in America. This is one nicely restored example of WWII transportation. It looks good at a cruise in, car show, parade or Military Vehicle Collector’s events. It will not disappoint. 4 military tread tires with 95% tread and a spare with 80% tread all on 16” combat rims.Top was new in 2015 and the transmission was gone through in 2016 and is fitted with Warn hubs. “This 1949 Willys station wagon is a 2-wheel drive example powered by a 134ci L-head inline-four mated to a 3-speed manual transmission with overdrive. The truck was reportedly refurbished by its previous owner with mechanical overhauls, a repaint inside and out, new upholstery, and more. It was acquired four years ago by the seller, who has since stored it indoors as part of a large collection and has driven it about 300 miles. (09/08/2017) Bows stored in the correct location is almost always a good sign! I don’t see a piece across the windshield though.

“1943 Ford GPW. SN 102820 3-16-1943
This jeep originally came from a farm in southern Missouri. The previous owner had it for many years, and he used it as a farm jeep. It was in rough shape, and it was missing a lot of parts. I bought it from him and slowly began to make some progress, it was a continuous project for about 8 years. I ended up having to replace the tub with a late ’42 tub. The front floor, fuel tank sump, and hat channels were all replaced.
I ended up taking the very long and costly road for a restoration; starting with a basic shell of a project and tracking down all the pieces to complete it. The vast majority of the parts are original GPW NOS or take-off parts, but there are some reproductions in the mix. The vast majority of mounting hardware are also original script bolts/nuts/washers.
Everything on this jeep functions, it was a frame off restoration. It is 6 volts and all lighting works as it should, the transmission/transfer case shift like they should, and the engine runs very smoothly. Brakes are adjusted, and they do not grab or pull. Continue reading

Runs and drives like new, again only 7850 miles. Original seats (including rear), original canvas top with doors and side curtains. Owned by the same family for 55 years, the second generation did have it repainted the original color about 10 years ago. Everything works, currently registered and inspected. Includes an uninstalled Warn overdrive. Only 2500 Cj-6s were made in 1962 and I don’t believe you will find another one like this. I do not believe those are the correct fenders. Early fenders has a diagonal seem. Looks good otherwise.
